Yes.
But who's more valuable to the team - - - different question.

It sounds like they think he's a PG until you hit the last sentence. I can't believe someone gets paid to write that. That kind of advice gets a guy insta-fired.

They should resist the temptation of an instant-impact player in Davis. Then Davis won't be as good since he needs to put meat on his bones? Self-contradiction isn't rare in journalism, but it's usually separated by at least a few sentences.

He's a small forward/shooting guard. How are they comparing him to point guards? They must be morons. I think he's good, but small forward is one of the deeper positions in the NBA. I don't think MKG is the next Kevin Durant. His offense isn't as far along, and he's short for a 3. No way he's strong enough to handle a Paul Pierce. So he'll be a long SG.

I don't care whether it's pro UConn or not, bleacher report is a garbage site, the fact that the courant actually links to their articles in their Husky section is laughable to me.

he will likely be better than kemba. seriously though, dont read bleacher report. that reads like something i would have written for a dumb school project in 7th grade.

"He’s an excellent rebounder, which again, the Bobcats could get out of Davis, but Kidd-Gilchrist gets the mid- to long-range rebounds that Davis wouldn’t be in position to grab."

i mean, are you kidding me

Swag you are a good poster, but I think from now on, everybody who links an article to bleacher report should be electricuted. I tried to comprehend the stupidity of that article, but I couldn't. The writer is likely some kid in the 9th grade. I mean, "Passing skills that would put D.J. Augustine and Kemba Walker to shame". WHAT?!?! The dude averaged 1.9 assists per game in college.

These people are absolutely idiotic, MKG will be lucky to be as good as Marvin Williams in the NBA let alone a star. The guy has awful shooting technique and mechanics and wont be able to drive in the NBA on small forwards who are quicker and stronger than him. He is average athletically and will be a role player in the NBA. These are the same idiots that thought Sullinger was going to be a star and a special player. MKG, Doron lamb, terrence jonese, and teague will all be role players and bench players in the NBA. Only Anthony Davis has the potential to be a star out of the Kentucky Fab 5 lol. These people really need to stop overhyping players that go to kentucky, duke, and unc.

MKG can't be a 2 in the NBA. Does NBA have one 2 that is a 25% 3-point shooter? MKG is a slasher, he needs to get to the basket to be effective.

Worst 3PT%s this year of those 2 guards that qualify. There are 40 that shoot better from 3 than Kobe.

Kobe Bryant 29.9%
Jordan Crawford 29.5%
Stephen Jackson 28.4%

I don't know much about Crawford, aside from one Wizards game I saw in person (god make me forget that), but Kobe and Jackson have excellent driving postup and midrange games.

Yah, his name is Dwyane Wade. He's pretty good. Your point is totally incorrect.

idiotic article. lets compare a 6`6 sg/sf to a couple of 6`0 pg`s:confused: If the bobcats take mkg over ad they would be complete morons but then again its micheal jordan we`re talking about here so who knows. i think mkg could at best be a shawn marion type player but im not sure if he`ll even be that good.

I like the one with the top 50 party schools, best tailgates and hottest coeds. Their sports stuff is lame.

MKG is not good. He'll be lousy at the next level as will Doron lamb.

MKG is a worse version of Marvin Williams.

...except that he's a better rebounder, passer, and ballhandler than Williams, and an elite defender to boot. And he's one of the hardest workers you'll find.

Seriously, did people even see MKG play or are they just basing their opinions off their hatred for Calipari? He was EASILY the second best freshman this year, and while he might not have quite as much upside Drummond (no one besides Davis does in this year's draft class), he is a much, much safer bet.

MKG has very good talent, and he will work himself into being a player in the NBA. I could understand why some people would prefer Drummond at #2, but it wouldn't be a bad pick to take MKG over him.

Bleacher Report should be called Troll Report.

Internet business 101: they don't charge you to access their site but it's a business that makes money. Do you know how they make money? By selling ad space. Do you know what makes their ad space more valuable? The more people who look at it the more valuable it is. Do you know how they get more people to look at it? By writing articles that people will read. And what's a great way to get more people to read an article? By writing something controversial/offensive/shocking that people will send to one another.

What's a great way to cut costs? Take all comers as "sportswriters". Pay them a tiny bit if their articles get lots of people to read them thereby increasing the views on their website and thereby increasing the value of their ad space and thereby increasing their revenue.

So basically when you read some crap written on bleacher report, you are helping some moron make a living by writing anything that will make you go nuts prompting you to send a link article to your friends. It's just some otherwise unemployed guy sitting at a starbuck's thinking of ways to make you really angry or really happy. /PSA
