Just look at those minutes for the starters....what the hell was that?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? I wanted to see Myah and AEH on the court together to see what kind of chemistry they have. Vic obviously has ZERO confidence in those two young ladies and that's not good at all. Keep in mind he presses the ENTIRE game. For the past two years he's always made sure Morgan William didn't get worn out and would use Jaz but this year he's not gonna do the same thing for Jaz in games that actually matter by letting Myah get more than 3 damn minutes?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

If Vic is going to play pressure defense like that for the entire game more young ladies will have to see more time. Myah Taylor was a 5 star recruit who redshirted last year yet she can't get any time in a game like today?!?!?!?!?!?!? He's gonna run Jaz into the ground if he keeps this crap up. Also why the hell is BreAmber playing ahead of Xaria and AEH?!?!?!? Vic is use to recruiting 2 and 3 star recruits...players like AEH, Wiggina, and Myah Taylor were all 5 star recruits who could have gone to a lot of top notch school...they aren't gonna ride the bench all year and wait their turn. These young ladies wanna play. The southern preacher is going to find out pretty quick what it's like to have highly recruited players on his roster...will be interesting to see how he deals with it...that's for sure.
And I thought UConn fans were the specialists at griping and second-guessing their coach's decisions...

I know, right? Beat down Texas on the road and it’s not enough.

With this being their toughest competition so far, maybe Schaefer wanted to work out some kinks with his starters.

Quick question? Are you actually questioning Vic's management of players? He is still playing with less talent based on HS ratings than any of the elite teams he beats frequently. Please....

Less than 2 minutes to go, huge lead and Vic still has most of his starters in. If Geno did this, not only would we have national leaders in scoring and assists, but the press would crucify him. SMH
Well...it happened tonight. Both teams won by 18. Geno had his starters in, even when ND put some bench in. That post looks really stupid now.

It does not...there's a big difference between being up big for the whole game and increasing your lead in the last 4 minutes of the game. Oh, we were playing the #1 team in the COUNTRY.

But it still follows the “less than 2 minutes to go, huge lead” criteria.

Are you serious? Have you seen Wiggins and Taylor play? They are freshmen who are still learning and not ready for prime time. Carter is okay but still learning too. I don't care if you have 10 stars by your name. No one should come in and expect to play big minutes the first year, and I'm sure they don't. AEH is basically a freshman too by the way.

I came across an interesting factoid related to this game.

Texas was the last team to hand Mississippi State a nonconference loss:

Much has changed since Mississippi State last went to Austin, Texas for a showdown with the Longhorns.
Back in 2015 when the Bulldogs went to Texas for the first real marquee game for coach Vic Schaefer’s program, it was a valiant effort but State fell short against a top 10 opponent. MSU lost that game 53-47 and that would be the last time that they’d lose a regular season non-conference game.
