Marquette’s only loss this season has been to Northwestern.

First "normal" team that MSU faces this year. Mostly interested in seeing what lineup Vic rolls out and how Carter does against better interior defenders.

Uh, Marquette graduated all five of its starters and is barely a shell of last year's team. Not to mention, they lost their coach. If MSU can't win this game easily, it will be a huge red flag.

I think we can all agree the MSU schedule is pretty weak this year so far. I admit I have no idea what to think of this team since there has been almost no competition. We could be outstanding. We could be overrated. I have no idea. What I know is so far Vic has substituted liberally and is likely still looking for the right mix of players to determine his best lineup. I do think we are a top 3 SEC team and likely top 15 or so nationally based on our talent but it's still up in the air.

The biggest concern right now is another player is needed to step up to help with rebounding (after J Carter and C Bibby). So far that hasn’t happened. R Jackson is slowly coming around but hasn’t been as big an impact as expected on the boards.

I don't really care what Marquette lost from last year. They're clearly a solid team and I think time will show that this season.

I'm a bit shocked at how far State has fallen defensively from 3 years ago. Much better offensively, but these kind of defensive efforts have to be driving Vic nuts.

Vic is starting Jackson purely from what she did the Italy trip. There has been absolutely nothing thus far about RJ's play that has out performed AEH in any way.

Don't think it says anything. at all. Also I don't know what you are implying about AEH. She actually probably one of the harder working kids on the team and actually shows up on time for shoot around unlike half the other team

AEH would easily be starting for Uconn this year, and easily should be starting over Jackson. I think Vic wants the same Jackson he had in Italy, and he is giving her a ton of opportunity to get comfortable, but it isn't happening.
