It’s a weird topic, I know. Some time back I made the switch. Used a cheap Chums Surf Wallet. Nylon. I bought 3-4 of them over time. Then a friend showed me his Code 118 wallet. So I bought that and it’s been really good. The paint is wearing on the aluminum now, but it works fine. Not exactly classy but better than the Chums wallet. So I see Proof Wallets on Facebook, company started by some ex marines and these are nicer looking. Robust as hell. But the price is $125 less new customer discounts. Lifetime warranty, so the wear on my Code 118 would be irrelevant.

Anybody try these? Or Ekster? Or others? I don’t trust the online reviews. Proofs warranty seems legit, if they are around 5 years from now. I’m never going back to big fat wallets. Just wondering who has experience with these or other brands and whether dropping $100 makes sense. Ridge is the other main brand. Looks good, solid, the card release is a lot less convenient

Storus Smart Money Clip. I've had it for years and its like new. I've got a decent amount of cash and a dozen or so cards in it at the moment. Much less bulky than a wallet. I have the silver/stainless one. No paint to chip.

I love my minimalist Wallet
It’s similar to the Kings loot but instead of a money clip it has a normal compartment
It’s a Serman brand
I did know if I could reduce so I paid $35 in 2023 , bought one for my grandson and bought another last year as but it’s still in its case . The interior leather is not typical of my standards but its functions extremely well

I have a phone case that accommodate to my license and a few cards.

If I need cash, I use a money clip. I like it.

I think about getting a minimalist wallet, but I feel as if it is so small it potentially would fall out of my pocket.

I have a Chinese Ridge knockoff with a AirTag holder.

It was like $14 on Amazon. Does the trick

Thanks for the input. I think splurging on the Proof is unwise unless I see a really huge sale. I don't think these others are upgrades on my Code 118, which works fine.
