If a Math professor addressed his class after a few lackluster exams using language like that, and it was put on youtube, he'd be gone by noon.
Wtf? Strange comparison. Old school football coach right there. Plus its funny as hell.If a Math professor addressed his class after a few lackluster exams using language like that, and it was put on youtube, he'd be gone by noon.

Just an unbelievable comment lol. I mean if a film professor ever gave a talk like this them he or she might not get tenure.
Carl, maybe that is why that rant resonated with me like it did. "Were too good". Flick that, flick you, flick me, and flick everybody.
In fact even the football coach better watch out. Bo Pellini used some expletives while privately ranting about the fans and got his comeuppance when it (inevitably) got leaked. There'll never be another "Junction Boys".
Sad thing is we aren't even close to being mediocre. Boy are some folks going to be in for a rude awakening when the new sheriff rides into town this December.

He didn't berate or embarrass anyone. That was a general lecture for the whole team and it didn't get personal. Even when he said people would be getting new roommates he didn't name names. I think it was pretty good stuff and I think it probably got their attention.
BTW, that Mike Leach pep talk (rant) was given on Nov 28, 2009 after they had beaten Baylor 20-13 to finish at 8-4. The season was over. All that remained was their Bowl Game against Michigan St. Ironically, Leach was suspended a few weeks later on Dec 28th over the treatment of Adam James. It was a complicated and controversial legal matter for sure but at the very least it appears that the change Coach Leach made in young Mr. James' "living arrangement" was more than the school could tolerate.
