Pure speculation on my part, but I think once Kahari Beaufort got the news Khadeen was coming to UConn First Night, he changed his mind to head to Providences'.

Why would he, or any other recruit, care who else is attending First Night?

In all likelihood, he's not going because he went to Uconn's last year and wants to see someone else's.
