I know but if someone is willing to pay for my whole season tickets for one game I will let them

after seeing where this thread has gone, I'm going to pop our tickets up on SH at a ridiculous price and see who bites on the bait. I wanted to fund our BB tickets by selling this game.

wait, tickets are going for $390 on Stubhub????? Like actually selling for that?

I sit in the front row, silver benches, on the press box (visitors' side), so the guy behind me is obviously in the second row.

If you're a Michigan fan, you live close by and you know they haven't played an out-of-state non-conference game in a decade, well, I suppose $390 a ticket to sit in the second row behind your team's bench isn't a bad price to pay. Cheaper than getting to Ann Arbor or State College.

Of course, they're going to have to put up with me for three hours...

I honestly believe that the UConn administration is being greedy, and at a time where they cannot afford to be greedy. 1) Lower the ticket prices, get the casual fans into the building. 2) Get the casual fans in the building, make the casual fan a diehard. 3) Make the casual fan a diehard, then you make their children diehards.

A simple formula, really. One that many institutions have already followed. The ticket prices we charge for a building that we don't sell out are ridiculous...

So spot on.

Prices should be set to have the best chance at a sellout, not milk people for all they are worth. I'm talking variable pricing per seat and per opponent. Is it complicated? Sure. But we supposedly have a lot of smart folks who can figure it out.

I don't think my prediction of a Whalers/Bruins or Rangers early 90s crowd for UCONN/Michigan is not far-fetched. Heck, it might even be 40/60 by the time we get to game time and UCONN loses to Maryland. 28,000 Michigan fans in a 42,000 seat stadium seems very likely if Boneyarders are dumping their tickets on StubHub. If Boneyarders are doing it, I can only imagine that the casual fans who bought "the greatest schedule ever ever" are dumping their tickets after Towson. Sadly, I don't blame anyone for getting what they can for this game. Towson buzzkilled this entire season for me and, I imagine, everybody else.

Yet, we still keep Pasqualoni. The smart thing to do would have been to dump Pasqualoni before Maryland, let Weist give a few yay rah rahs and inject some enthusiasm back into our fanbase with a reason for hope for the future (and this season!). I'd bet a few more UCONN fans would keep their tickets. But instead, we get the dumpster fire status quo and are turning UCONN football into the 1991-92 Hartford Whalers. I can't wait for the seasons where we can all think to ourselves "remember when fans used to sit in the upper deck? Those were the days".

I'm checking on Stubhub - there ARE tickets that have sold for $300-400, so that other poster is not $hitting us. Wow, my tickets are going up right now just to see if I can really get someone to pay that much ($400)

they have to start rewarding season ticket holders somehow - we've seen it happen in hoops where we pay premium prices for our packages, then when the "powers-that-be" start realizing that there'll be a lot of fans dressed up as empty seats, they start with the ticket deals. Nothing fires me up more than seeing a ticket deal for the riff-raff, when someone who supports the program year in and year out has paid full boat (talking Men's bb here).

The one fortunate thing is that their fans will all wear dark blue (Navy in their case). It will be the first time ever than an overhead shot of the stadium will appear the way a college football crowd should appear (of course with the exception of ~ 12k UConn fans wearing red, green or yellow).

There are a $hitload of seats available Anything available in lower bowl is overwhelmingly odd single seats.

Guessing UM is having a challenge moving their 5k allotment?

After the Towson game I am ready to admit I sold mine too. My cousin is getting married that weekend - furious about this because I'd rather be at the game. Sold 2 on stub hub prior to Towson, section 224, row 12. For a little over 200 a ticket.

Downside: I googled the guy and he is a Michigan alum, architect, living in Boston

Pro: I took the money and donated to UConn Athletics

That's exactly what you have to do. I tried to get 2 blocks of tix... Could only get one online... Called up the ticket office and all was well.

I honestly think the reason for lack of ticket sales is the perception that anyone can get a ticket for almost nothing anytime they want. People in CT are used to the tough ticket that is Boston or New York and laugh at UConn Football tickets. People know they can wait until kickoff and pay very little for a seat. UConn needs to somehow figure out a way around that but I am unsure if it will ever be changed.
