For you UConn Men’s Hockey! Should have beat Sparty on the ice last night too.
I love you depth, anyone tell you that? We’re going to the Final 4.
My Heart. They are mortal men. The only thing we fear is fear itself.I love you depth, anyone tell you that?
Who the hell said it's supposed to be easy?Sarr & Brown are both phenomenal defenders.
This is going to be a tough, tough matchup. We are going to have to run our actions, pull Boozer away from the basket, isolate Tarris on PN (he loves to foul) and we'll have to be hot from the outside. We aren't going to score much inside.
Defensively, not sure how we stop Boozer. We have no one that pairs up well with him. We're going to need a lot of Ross on Evans, and use one of the other guys on the floor to help double Boozer. We cannot let Evan's t off like he did against StJ.
House money.
Mal was mediocre? You watched a different game than I did. In the game I saw he had 7 assists to 1 turnover and we contained the pick and roll far better in the half game he was in than the half game he wasn’t. But I’m old so maybe my eyes aren’t good. Both teams missed a lot of bunnies, something about those rims. When they canned a miracle three at the end of the shot clock, it felt like it was going to go sideways. The fellas just kept going and ground one out again.
Our FT shooting almost did us in, but Reed going 4-4 down the stretch and absolutely carving out the paint to get the intentionally missed FT was massive. Our seniors led this game.
Silas was tentative, short armed evwrything, refused to make bold passes. MS was very mediocre. We had no second ball handler with Solo and Braylon very shakey handling the rock. I don't know how we got by with that sort of production from our guards.
Solo had an important game for him and us. Not dominant by any means, but we need that to be his floor.
Why can't we just play dialed in all the time? No lead is safe with this team. We match up better with Duke than SJU so I like our chances on Sunday. Going to need to really make Boozer work with Reed.
20 minutesWe can unclench now, right?

If it was easy, there would be quite a few more schools with multiple titles, and at least a couple more with six.
They really never figured out how to exploit it. The opposing big would just hang out at the three point line and let Tarris get back in position.I thought Izzo got outcoached. Fears kept getting repelled and trapped with the high hedge.
I feel like Sparty has the worst fansJust scrolled the MSU "only colors" forum and for the most part they are being pretty classy to our guys. Good to see. Out of all the big time programs I respect the hell out of them
Is this the controversial take?Hot Take:
Duke is a much better match up for us than St John’s.
Damn I disappointed youIs this the controversial take?
The double bigs is gonna be tough but i’m not afraid of their guards/wings
The one day prep for our offense is our huge advantage in this game.Silas is clearly compromised. SJ pressure would’ve eaten him up. He gets to battle his hobbled counterpart instead.
St John’s also knows our playbook in and out. Duke has a day to prepare.
He’s done that his whole time here. IceThat late three by Karaban was ice in his veins
Big advantage is this is the first time Scheyer has seen this offense. PN isn't even playing 20 a game.Agreed, only mentioned Brown bc I don’t see Sarr defending Alex or Reed and was focusing more on that matchup.
Sarr is a lengthy athlete and a great on ball defender bc of it but honestly I think he is a bit overrated as a defender bc his footwork is iffy and he ball watches a decent amount off ball.
well playedYep, tough to feel bad for him.
TLDR: no tears for fears
