OT: Michael K Williams (Omar from the Wire) has died.

Thought he deserves a thread here for our years of celebrating his role on the wire particularly during the Omar Calhoun years.

One of my favorite characters of all time.

RIP.

Certainly one of the most entertaining morally ambiguous characters; and the open gayness was a very new thing for its time. Can’t be appreciated enough.

I loved Boardwalk Empire, Chalky White was a great character played by a very talented actor in Michael Williams. RIP

Rip. And yes of course he was great in the wire (in which u cud argue he played one of the most unique characters in the history of television ) , but he was also the man in boardwalk empire. That’s when hbo had all the great series.
