OT: Michael K Williams (Omar from the Wire) has died.

R.I.P. not to be overlooked was his performance as Chalky White as well, Omar is in the running for the Mount Rushmore of cable TV characters
Certainly one of the most entertaining morally ambiguous characters; and the open gayness was a very new thing for its time. Can’t be appreciated enough.

One of the great stand-offs in media history too

Dang. This hurts. Probably my favorite character of all time, and an exceptional actor.

He embodied the Dylan line from “Absolutely Sweet Marie”: “But to live outside the law, you must be honest.”

Rip. And yes of course he was great in the wire (in which u cud argue he played one of the most unique characters in the history of television ) , but he was also the man in boardwalk empire. That’s when hbo had all the great series.

“You come at the king, you best not miss”

great show, great actor. Sad that he is gone so young RIP
high quality remake GIF

I see you favor a .45.
At night I do. And I keeps one in the chamber if you get to ponderin'.

That's my favorite scene in the show.
And what a turning point for the show, as they both figure out the Stringer set-up. It all goes downhill from there.

Chalky White from Boardwalk. RIP. Boardwalk and The Wire (and Sporanos) set the stage for all these BS series nowadays. No one will catch them.
