Kind of sad any uconn fan would know he didn't give up his scholarship and Drummond paid his own way.

The details are a bit foggy - first it was reported Bradley had given up his entire scholarship, then it was Drummond paying his own way, then it was Bradley paying for one semester and Drummond paying for the other. Regardless, it doesn't change the point - he was willing to sacrifice a potentially life-changing amound of money for the betterment of the team.

As rough as our front court was, he likely would not have been much help.

I was kind of disappointed because he was such a nice kid and he was really beginning to look the part. Physically, he made a leap while on campus. I hoped he might turn into a big surprise.

Good kid...wish him well in his future endeavors. Hopefully, he can reach his dream of being a pharmacist.

I don't have any facts but more than likely he was gently forced to leave.
I guess the story on Bradley is that he left because he wanted to be closer to his ailing grandmother.

Wish the kid the best. Wish he'd stayed, but I'm not sure how much he would have helped or been able to do going forward. Still, have a great deal of respect for him and hope he enjoys success at Samford...

He averaged 6 pts and 6 rebs in HS. I'm not sure he'll really ever play anywhere. Unsure how he ever got a 'ship @ UConn.

Athletic big guy. We develop them. Had a spot. Took a shot.

I officially prefer to develop Anthony Davis, Nerlens Noel and Dhkari Johnson types

Hey, I'm down. Sign em up. I'll take all three.

Bright kid too - planned to major in pharmacy originally. We were having APR issues, so it was doubly worth taking a shot on a project who was a good student.

Did you see any of them at UConn? Did you happen to ever get to see Michael play?

Saw him in a "captains practice" environment the kid did his job to get "bigger" and hit the weights hard, looked good. Worked hard on his jumper and cold really shoot it from the FT line and in, and his game was getting better. Would've had some time last year and more this year depending upon improvement........guys like Rod Sellers, Travis, Jake came in with a little more background but all were tremendously improved by the time they left...........even Willingham made enough progress to make some nice dollars overseas......it's UConn not a ton of elite bigs come here but the one's that do get better more often than not...........that's why they took a shot!!
