Both can be true. It is not an accident all of our great wins were early in the season.

Yes while theses numbers may not improve(not much room to) they can certainly dip if we don’t hold serve.
Unless I'm reading this wrong, it says we are beating the spread in literally every category since 2019, except the NCAA tournament games (sample size 2).

Give me Hurley's neutral site record (11-7, +4.8 vs. spread) vs. Cooley (6-11, -8.1 vs. spread). The most important games of the year are played on neutral sites.
No one expected to go undeafeated, it’s not the losing but how we lose these games. That’s it. We haven’t seen improvements when the games get tough
It's hard to lose and look good doing it. Provided everyone here understands they were going to lose games this season, then that's also understanding they are going to look bad a times. Now they have an opportunity to get guys right (TN, NA, JC, HD) and work on things in ways they weren't able to during the most recent stretch. Every year Hurley has been here they've played their best ball as the season progresses. Let's hope that continues again this year.
When you’re in a close game and your coach gets a T down the stretch(among a few other things), that’s a a terrible way to lose. When you make no adjustments and PC beats us convincingly without their starting PG, that’s a terrible way to lose.
For some posters (read: the one you're responding to) every game we lose is a referendum on the UConn program as a whole and was a blown opportunity by our coach. Meanwhile they complain for years about not beating Creighton and then go radio silent and cite luck when it actually happens
I'd like to add a little more perspective to this.
Thank you. No, the sky certainly isn't falling. Truth is, tough road games against good teams, and games we were in until at worst the last 5 mins of each game. A few bounces our way, a few made baskets, and even these loses could have been wins. This team is far from perfect, perhaps overachieved a bit early but showed us what they are capable of. Still, after these loses, this team is very capable of beating anyone.

Where are the people that were crying about our weak OOC schedule now? I'd say #6 SOS in the country is pretty damn good

This is a weekly encapsulation of the 19 hottest, most successful and/or most interesting teams, combining team quality with win quality but also having no shame for recency bias and rewarding significant winning streaks. It's a miracle we're still in his top 19 after losing 3 of 4

I agree that most fans will eventually move on from Calhoun. Many already have. They are now willing to accept less success and call it “great.” Hurley has so far shown himself to be a good coach. Nothing special. He will likely get us to the tournament most years. We won’t go far, but a Sweet 16 will be hailed as a great triumph.
No one said our OOC was bad. People said our home slate OOC was bad, which it was. A mediocre Oklahoma State team should not be the biggest draw at home
