Any speculation?

Hmm.... Isn't this fun?

It would be fun if they didn't include that on every agenda and wasn't followed with (if needed).

But this one says "anticipated"!!!!

Or have they all been like that?

The previous agenda didn't say "anticipated" but this could likely just be about the proposed budget cuts or a million other things.

Public Agenda item:
8:30 a.m. Special Institutional Advancement Committee Meeting (Ground Level Portico)

Eyes-only Agenda:
8:30 a.m. Get-The-Hell-Out-Of-This-Conference Meeting sponsored by PeptoBismol (Roof Level)

HOLY S---!

THIS IS THE FIRST EXECUTIVE SESSION SINCE THE LAST ONE!

It's nothing - they could be talking about the flower budget for commencement.

Closed sessions are routine.

Is there a difference between Expected Executive Sessions & Non-Expected Executive sessions and is it as important as the difference between Key Tweets & Non-Key Tweets?

Inquiring minds want to know.

I strongly suspect that you are correct. Budget cuts matter most to them. The comments on the recent Courant article on UConn budget cuts and Ms. Herbst's was an eye opener for me. I was shocked at the negativity. I wonder if they represent the majority of CT residents.

Aside from a conversation about CR due to a non-disclosure agreement..which we all want o badly...the only things that can be discussed in Executive session are personnel issues or legal proceedings.

Non-Expected Executive sessions involve presentations from West Virginia?

Current Revised "Final" Champions Center Budget
The university ended up "loaning" athletics $1.8 million.

In this case the definition of the word "anticipated" being used is "regard as probable; expect or predict." NOT the version of the word that we're all hoping, which is "look forward to."

Sometimes I wonder about this board.

Hat tip to the source: a dictionary

That's just weird, but I guess its typical budget crap. Rob Peter to pay Paul.

So, you mean to tell me that the legislature is considering slashing UConn's budget by $40 million and in the near future the B1G is projecting to make $45 million and I'm the only one who wants, nay, needs Conspiracy Kitty's insightful take on this development?

They made up for relatively modest shortfall but booked it as a loan so they could say that university didn't pay for any of it, which is arguably true since it will eventually be "repaid."

Sounds like what Rutgers does. Minus the repaying part, of course.
