As the announcers said, Connecticut "poked the bear." Once Diana got motivated, she took over. Phoenix eliminated a 17-point lead. It's 70-70 early in the 4th.

Diana's record in winner-take-all games is a sterling 10-0.

Congratulations Phoenix Mercury!! Keep it going. Get it done, one team and play at a time. No matter the outcome, I will still love you. A fan of Phoenix from day one (since one of my favorite players was the Coach - the one and only Cheryl Miller).

Congratulations Connecticut Sun!! To all my Connecticut Sun fans, they had a great season. Last season, I felt the same way about the one and done rule.

Took me half an hour to find this again so, not meaning to be mean to the Sun, who have come a long way and it should have been a 3 game series, but:

The Sun lost the game at the Free Throw line; missing 9 FT's; and their three point shooting percentage. They were 4 - 6 on three point shots.

My dad and I watched both games today, and he commented on how unsportsmanlike DT is. She's arguably the Goat of WBB but for that reason I prefer Maya Moore.
