Geno is really going to have to work hard to get us meaningful games in the upcoming years.
IMHO it's just a matter of time before the hoops and football schools split. since SDSU and i forget who else (Boise STate or Navy) only joined the BE for football, it will leave something like 10 total schools for all sports (UCONN, RU, L'ville, Cinci, SMU, USF, UCF, Houston, Memphis, Navy), that would be 18 home and home in the BE. currently there are 16 games.
if the football grows to 12, they could split it into 2 conferences and do home/homes for one side, and alternate on the other side for 16 total games again. UCONN could still schedule WVU, or any other former BE team if they wanted a good game. our OOC schedule wouldn't change. losing PItt and Syracuse doesn't really hurt the SOS, altho WVU is consistently a better team.
