SJ had zero he dropped everything he hit his hands on.

We lost to a much more athletic, and stronger team. They have a point guard…we do not. They have a starting center…we do not (we will once Johnson hits the bench). They have a coach who keeps his cool…ours gets a “T” unnecessarily when we need possession. We will improve, but now we are not a top 5 team.

The Solo call reeks of a crew that had a grudge against Hurley and his bench for what happened prior. Nothing more nothing less. They had a chance to make it right and chose not to.

They’re already top 30 if they keep playing like this they’ll be ranked all year and win the AAC easily

So this is a quad 1 loss then right? Neutral court loss to a team with that rating.

Sorry, but in the replay, Solo looks like he is moving into his opponent’s space- his body is slanting forward, it looks like he is charging into the guy. In real time, I definitely thought the refs blew it. They should have at least called the Memphis player for swinging elbows.

Definitely need stronger backcourt play, it was a struggle to get the ball past half court in the 1st half.. Mahaney isn’t the answer at all, memphis’ guards look at him as FOOD and it looked like he was truly overmatched..

According to EvanMiya stats, the two lowest rated defenders are Ball and Mahaney and they are the starting backcourt. Today, it showed as they could not stop their guards.

Spencer was rated as a very poor defender at Rutgers, but he improved considerably at UConn so there is still hope for Mahaney. Ball is a sophomore who didn't play a lot last year, so I would expect improvement as well.

Their guards shot the hell out of the ball and took it to the rim with contact. We had no guard driving game, hence fewer foul shots. Wonder if Hurley will let Nowell play? My guess is it’s still Maheney.

Pouty face was on all day. Dude, you got more talent on the bench than other top 25 teams have, period. Coach 'em. Seeing him on the sidelines thought I accidentally taped a game from early '21. It’s one thing to argue a call.. but DH likes to verbally abuse the refs. If you read his lips, at one paint he’s yelling get away from me, don’t talk to me.
You’re never going to get a positive outcome by trying to demoralize another human like that in any situation.

Did the trainer abuse the ref too?

Sorry, I’m just not buying that the T in OT was justified. A good ref would have the good judgement to walk away after blowing a call, especially in that game situation. And a good ref wouldn’t have T’d up the trainer either
