Cincinnati leads 40-39 a couple minutes into the second half. I thought this was going to be a typical root canal type Cincy game, but this one has actually had pretty good pace to it so far. Justin Jackson just went to the bench in pain - I'd hate to see him miss any time.

Does anybody know what the ramifications are for this one in terms of postseason seeding? It would seem to me like we should be rooting for Memphis, since we beat them twice, and we want them in the RPI top 25. Also, it would benefit us if Memphis won today and then again on Saturday to get off the four/five line. I want no part of playing a hungry Memphis team on their home court in the AAC quarterfinals.

Well, this one got away from Memphis quickly. They are just a terribly coached team, no other way to slice it. Cincinnati is shooting 54% from the field, which is absurd when you consider they have one player who can shoot from beyond four feet. It still doesn't seem like Memphis has any concept of rotations which is just strange for a team with so many veterans. Memphis has more talent than Cincinnati but Cronin has coached circles around Pastner both times they've played. Memphis will be gone in the first round in the NCAA Tournament.

Not sure who i dislike more Cronin or Pitino. Both unbearable on the sideline .

I'm impressed that Memphis had the restraint to not foul with 1.4 seconds left in the game.

Hats off to rubles, Steven Krajewski, and justin Jackson on senior night. I've really enjoyed playing them over the past years

I don't know how the seedings will work out after Saturday but I would rather another go with Memphis instead of SMU. Yes beating them 3x would be hard and on their homecourt no less, but I just think Memphis is an easier matchup than SMU.

An absolute perfect way to send the seniors off. I have to admit, yet again I am not that impressed with Memphis. They've swept Louisville but are winless against the rest of the top 5. Their guards are really fast but cannot do anything other than score in the open floor. Geron Johnson and Dixon Jr were clowns as usual, not sure how I could root for those guys.

Honestly I was most impressed by Nichols and Goodwin. They need to get those guys the ball more. Although Nichols was abused on defense, he has a nice touch around the rim and has a good looking shooting stroke.

Why does this guy keep finding his way back here? Does Cincinnati not have its own forum? I get it when UCONN is playing their team, but after that it seems too much.

I like having good posters from other boards joining the conversation here. Kobe made a comment or two after we beat them this past weekend but he hardly ranks in the pantheon of poor sports. It's not like one of those PC pests.

I am very happy for Kilpatrick showing out in a W on SR night. Only heard positives about the guy. Wish we offered him ( I know there was some interest) because he would obviously be like Kemba and make the simple decision.

I'm not saying he is a bad addition, I just don't think to run to other tabs boards after UCONN wins to say how great they were on senior day. That's all. I don't mind this dude or the Memphis guy.

Well, the thread was about the Memphis-Cincy game. It isn't like the comment was out of the blue.

Have no idea why but I want no part of memphis at memphis in this tourney - would rather SMU and I think the boys would love another shot at them too!

Agreed.

Motivation is a factor in these games, and would be against us vs memphis, but hopefully for us vs SMU.

I like reading what fans from other teams have to say. As long as he's being respectful and not bashing UConn then I don't see the problem with him posting. From what I've seen he was acting a little douchy towards the Memphis fan a couple weeks ago but otherwise his posts have been ok.
