A blogger reported this possibility before the all-star game Melky vehemently denied it, the blogger later apologized. At that time, I believe that it was Duane Kyper who said on a Giant's broadcast that Melky had not been asked to re-submit so this was a bogus report, so I think that a lot of the organization was in the dark. In fact it was reported this morning on KNBR that the Giant's were only notified of it this morning.
I understand where people are coming on this one, because Melky doesn't have the same body as when he played for the Yankees. He looks like a person who's juiced!
