Hoopgurlz is not a very accurate or up to date site, so I would not put much stock into anything on that site. I don't claim to have any direct inside knowledge but what I am hearing indirectly from friends who are in the know is that Walker is a huge ND lean.I don't see ND in her list. Among the 6 schools UConn is the first one.

2016 we have KLS, Napheesa and Crystal are top players (plus De'Janae I also considered as top player). But, the more the better ......I have heard zero recently, but she is a must get for UCONN (if we want to maintain our superiority over other teams). I realize that you can't have the #1 kid every year, but if you look back at the teams who have won, they generally have 2 top players (Diana and Sue/Swin/Tamika/Ashja, or Tina/Maya, or Stewie/Moriah/Kaleena). This year we still have Stewie/Moriah and we add KLS. But next year, losing Stewie and Moriah - I'd put us at about #3 on paper. But plenty of time for the team to develop and we will know better how good the 4 newbies will be come Februray or so (assuming Butler is able to play this year)...

Well yeah, but... We are slightly spoiled and with Geno we're likely to be in the running just about every year. But I recall vaguely some years where other teams won. As Geno himself says, you need the talent one down recruiting year can give the other folks a chance.I, too, would really like to get another "great" kid for next year, but that seems less than likely at this point. While I'm confident Morgan and Kia will continue to play at the highest level, and that Lou and Napheesa will reach those heights pretty soon, I think one really critical element must be considered to allay your concerns somewhat:
Geno said UConn would win because "We have Diana, and you don't."
I say we will continue to win because "We have Geno, and you don't."
I think if Megan is looking at position depth and overall team "fit" for her talents, there's a lot to be excited about UCONN for her because the complimentary pieces are all there: an outstanding true PG in Danger, rangey wing/forwards like Collier and Boykin, a very special inside-outside 3-pt specialist and all around scorer in KLS to stretch the D, a true post (from all indications) in Butler to anchor the middle ---- this is a perfect setup for an elite, game-changing 2/3 like Megan who is sooooo dangerous and EXPLOSIVE with the ball. Obviously Kia Nurse will be in the mix for awhile yet (loving that!) but as far as the future is concerned, I think the pieces above set up *very, very well* for Megan Walker.
Thanks for the updated information. Which wings are no longer being recruited by ND?Walker to Notre Dame is really not a secret in the AAU world anymore. The only home visit that Walker and her family put on social media was ND. I'm also being told that ND told 2 other highly ranked wings that they weren't recruiting them anymore because of a promise that Walker would be there.
4 years ago MoJeff and Stewie were freshman. We won 3 NCs to date. Next season they wont be here. We are still a team with a nucleus next season. We still have 2 number 1 HS players and Dangerfield number 2 just like Mojeff was. We will continue to dominate WCBB. Maybe not at the level we are at this season but we are a cohesive team and that in itself will be tuff not to lose a game. Don't forget we have been blowing almost every team out by 20+. Maybe next season its a little closer by I still like our chances of winning every game by double digits much like we have been doing the past few seasons. Stop worrying and enjoy what we have because we have a lot more then any other team but most of all we have Geno.
