I believe she was rated #1 by some services, but I could be wrong. I used to have a strong interest in insisting that Megan was the true #1. Now I'm good either way.

Ummm, Evina Westbrook?
Umm let’s just say she was number 1.....
2006: Tina Charles
2007: Maya Moore
2008: Elena Delle Donne
2009: Brittney Griner
2010: Chiney Ogwumike
2011: Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis
2012: Breanna Stewart
2013: Mercedez Russell
2014: Aja Wilson
2015: Katie Lou Samuelson
2016: Lauren Cox
2017: Megan Walker/Evina Westbrook
2018: Christyn Williams

How many transferred or left the school? 2. The #1 recruit by Hoopgurlz holds weight to players regardless of how they might downplay it. They feel that they can go anywhere and make an impact whether that be instantly or eventually. So generally, they don’t transfer.

[Prediction: The same thing will happen with Anna and Aubrey.

Let's not forget Christyn. The Natural. She will rise to Maya territory soon enough.

Some people were very down on Megan during her freshman year. In fact, Geno was rather harsh on her. Meg admits the effort wasn't there at first. Last year, she bulked up and was good, but still deferred to Lou and Phee. This year, she is leaner and looking like the Megatron who dominated Virginia basketball for 3 years, as Olddude notes. Keep it up, Meg!

I've always believed in her, and predicted that she'd have a great season. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that she can be our next 20-10 player, but as good as Ododa, Williams, Makurat, and Griffin are on the boards, that is looking less likely now.
