Old Man Mesagno helps ECSU to D-III World Series finals

Eastern Connecticut State got three hits and three RBIs from outfielder John Mesagno to beat LaGrange (Ga.), 8-1, Monday to qualify for the championship series at the NCAA Division III World Series. Mesagno has the opportunity for a seventh season on the Warriors roster.
