Connecticut and New Jersey are very similar culturally, economically, both have lots of Irish, Italian, Hispanic communities, NJ is a bit bigger geographically and population wise, both have a surprising amount of agriculture. Both have casino industry. CT has the quaint New England hill towns and NJ has the shore. Both have nice areas and bad cities.

Two states. But only one of them is known as the "armpit of America".

You have not traveled enough. Detroit is the butt crack of America.

Fargo, ND isn't the edge, but you can see it from there. North Dakota is so flat you can watch your dog run away for two days.

the reason I go into Nebraska is so I can exit it at Colorado.

The bottom 30 miles of Iowa and the top 30 miles of Missouri is no different than the hills of KY/WV.

Just saying you should see the rest of the places.

Other than UCONN everyone left is Confererate. Mizzu balances the conference so well. JMHO. I think UCONN is given the nod if Rutgers doesn't deliver it with Fox and YES help.

Missouri wasn't technically confederate, but wasn't a free state either. Had its own border war with Kansas. Missouri was a dubious add for the B1G. Three city markets. St. Louis split with Illinois. KC split with KU (and to a lesser extent K State and even Iowa) and Springfield, split with Arkansas (and Missouri State for hoops). It's a state torn between three conferences no matter how you slice it.

I still see the B1G being bold. The move south isn't working. Colorado is continguous, rapidly growing and dominated by CU. Colorado and UConn would solidify the B1G as the Big North. Still, there is a Pac 12 GOR that would need to be challenged.
