McDonald's All American Week

The McDonalds game always reminds me that no matter how highly bigs may be ranked, hardly any of them can catch a pass as a freshman.

I remember watching Donyell in the '91 game and thinking he was way overrated.

Quickest left to right player on the floor. Looks creative. Boat-esque, but more of a pg. I'll tamper my expectations to Jalen level production this past year.

I remember watching Rip in his game and him getting stuffed by the rim on a dunk attempt. I never trust these games.

Gilbert hasn't checked in yet, but a few observations:
- Bam Adebayo has brick hands and will be a rebounding machine limited by foul trouble
- Lonzo Ball is a terrific passer, as advertised.
- Josh Jackson is super athletic. Actually really does remind me of a scrawny Wiggins.
- Monk is going to be a terrific scorer this year
- Fox is quick but his shot is ugly
- Gonzaga has their next stud in Collins. I didn't realize he could shoot from the perimeter. Post game looks polished too
Josh Jackson ain't scrawny

Josh Jackson is so much better than the rest of these kids is crazy. He looks calculated in his actions, knows exactly what he's gonna do before he does it, whereas most of these kids are just trying to make flashy plays without considering the competition.

Sweet alley-oop to Marques Bolden there for AG there.

Playing a bit out of control/flashy, but his handle and agility are just insane.

Why the hell did they even hire ref's for this game? Not a single whistle has been blown all night, and guys are just plowing each other over for dunks.

Two of the three best players I saw in this game (I admit to watching it every year) went to LSU. Weird.

Chris Jackson (Mahmoud Abdul-Raouf) and Hot Plate Williams.

The third was Zach Randolph.

I turned on the TV just in time to see that dunk sick.

Alterique is gonna be nasty, quickest kid in the class and he's built.

Two more LSU guys I thought were going to be nasty, Randy Livingston and Lester Earl. For a weak basketball school LSU has had some freaks of nature with guys like the ones you named and Shaq, Stromile Swift, and Stanley Roberts. Two McDonald's guys I thought were surefire stars Jonathan Bender and Ronald Curry. I thought Rip looked horrible in the McD's game, not his kind of event.

Should have passed. His teammate was open.

Plus he was on my lawn. We need recruits who show better respect for landscaping.

Jalen Rose saying if he was a 17 year old recruit, he'd pick Kevin Ollie and UConn. ESPN hates us.

Jalen has been talking up Ollie all night.

On top of that Jalen Rose said paraphrasing somewhat "Kevin Ollie also won his championship early, if your at one place for 25 years hopefully you have won a championship".

jay Williams trying to restore the tide of the blue blood conspiracy.

Me and my roommate jumped out of our chairs when we heard Jalen say that! Great shoutout, and he's a smart guy that I've always liked. I hope Hamidou hears that.
