4-4 on FTs down the stretch as Minnesota edges Tulsa by 1 in Tulsa.

Angel is averaging 24.0 ppg. And trailing the league leader by 11.0 ppg. :)

With a rolled ankle thrown in late , just to make it interesting :)

Takes more than that to slow down the IQ

Got home from work, poured myself a glass of wine and watched Maya make some big plays down the stretch. A long way to go but she may run away with the MVP race. The Lynx needed everyone of Maya's points as the Shock pretty much had their way offensively. The Lynx miss Brunson down low.

The Minnesota defense has been suspect all 3 games. But Maya and Seimone are putting up nearly 60.

Maya may be better than I thought she was. Amazingly.

Maya is showing why she's the best in the world at the moment. No one can do everything she does, and do it as flawlessly as she does. Way to go Maya!!

Brunson's absence is definitely being felt.

Also in this game, more than in the previous two, the Lynx really missed Monica Wright. Tulsa's guards are quick and really attack the defense. Hodges, Diggins (looking much better) and O. Sims. Wright gives the Lynx another quick athletic defender at the perimeter who can keep people in front of her.

Yet another huge game for the Mayan. Probably made the wine taste even better.

:rolleyes:Tulsa made a big mistake by not drafting Thomas. They have too many guards and not enough quality on the frontline.
They also need to trade Cambage for someone that's not so wishy-washy.

Tough on who to choose - -considering how wish-washy Cambage was LAST year - and, before she got hurt, one could see why Tulsa folks hoped she might come. Didn't help that she said "nope" AFTER the draft.

And we'll see who the stronger pick is as the season moves along... as Geno says (or the 'yard SAYS Geno says) - you can never have too many guards....

In Tulsa's case- Yeah, you can...

PS: Size Matters.

The Lynx having to extend themselves will make them vulnerable in tonight's game against NY.

The IQ is 1st in the league in scoring (by a whopping 11 ppg), 4th in rebounding, and 3rd in steals. Though the games have been close, Minnesota is 3-0.

Shoni leads in assists by a wide margin. Skylar has really improved and is 5th in scoring and 2nd in assists.

Skylar is playing some really good basketball along with Maya

she is greatly improved. Tulsa will give some teams fits when they go with 3 guards + Glory and Courtney Paris. Not that they are all-stars but the guards are extremely quick and aggressive and the two bigs are playing OK.

Just watched the first three quarters of yesterday's game:
1. Fortunately, most of the WNBA All Access coverage is pretty decent. the camera work in yesterday's game was atrocious, though probably not professionally produced or managed.
2. As mentioned, Diggins appears to be much improved.
3. Jordan Hooper might be a better shooter than Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis, and that is saying something.
