I just got the Mazda CX50. Almost took a last-second look at the Rav4. The CX50 scores better in the turns, I've read.
I inherited a RAV4 and sold it. Rented one a few weeks ago, same thing I disliked about the other one is still present, the hood curves upon the sides and visibility is terrible, which is weird in a CUV. My recommendation is the CX-50 (I have a CX-5 my daughter now drives) or the CRV Hybrid. Mazda more sporty, Honda more thrifty and comfortable but with decent power. How are you liking the Mazda? Mine has had no issues in 9 years.

Out - 2015 Jeep Renegade (loved this car!)

In - 2025 Mazda CX50

Love: Interior styling and comfort.
The ride is smooth and quiet.
The car really grabs the road. Like it is connected.
Plenty of cargo room to carry many 4-packs.

Dislike Low ceiling inside. Bonk my head on ceiling forward of the moonroof.
Available colors. Ended up with Wind Chill Pearl.
No 4WD lock option

That's it so far

I have a transponder I got years ago but rarely used. I now have a new car. Can I move the transponder to my new car, or should I buy a new one? Or is pay by plate a newer/better option?

At best I'll use it a couple times a year.

No, you need to take the other car with you when you travel.

Tow it.

that's an interesting thought. I wonder if those car carriers have to pay for each car?
