7 innings tonight and retiring all batter for the last 4. Overall, a B outing. He started out timidly...almost in a No Mas Tanaka way.

And diggin' Yengervis, too. Kinda reminds me of Puig with that power swing.

Impressed with his resilience after a shaky start……..he has some good stuff. Will need to see a lot more but it was a nice come back after a surprise Melky bomb and then some shoddy defense………the splitter is wrong!

Now 2-0. Shutting out the cubbies today and striking out 10 of those jamokes through 7 innings.

The Yankees bought gold!!!

8 IP 10 K 2 H very solid and only 1 walk his control is outstanding, Girardi is playing it smart thinking of the big picture, giving vets days off and playing the young guys. Shortening the amount of games Jeter and Roberts will play at their age.

Im still trying to get into the baseball mode after Uconn's run.

7 ks last night and no walks. Wanted to get 5 innings in before a possible rain-out and rushed things a bit. Ended up giving up a couple of jacks. Tanaka and Yankees win big. Thanks Jacoby!

.-.
After tonight its time to pray for a whole lotta rain.

Yanks are awful and will get worst…….this is going to be a very painful and long year. Thank God for the Huskies, maybe the Rangers? Can't wait for the Giants LOL

From now on his name is Myhero Tanaka.

Savior from a summer of pain.

Tanaka might be Yankee's best free agent signing ever if he keeps this up. How the hell did Yankee get so lucky? The price Yankees paid is a bargain comparing to what LA had to pay for Kershew.

Funny you mentioned Kershaw yesterday. Can't argue about the money but his performance last night was unreal. No hitter and should have been a perfect game. 107 pitches and 15Ks. One 3 ball count all game. It has to be one of the best pitched games in baseball

.-.
Just came here to post that, too, Dude.

No mention of Dr Andrews, tho.

Ut oh....

On bright side, I hear he also has 8 great pitches lefty....no worries.

On DL with elbow inflamation

Partially torn UCL. Out at least 6 weeks.

TJ surgery not recommended at this time.

So the Yanks are going to pitch Mas twice. Oh well...I'm thinking they're gonna wreck this guy but they see him everyday. Here's hoping for the best.
