On that note, what message are you sending to HS recruits? “Hey, come to UCONN because you will waste two years of football and we will just bring in a JUCO player! Then you can sit out another year or two.”

Ridiculous.

The message you're sending is that you're going to get the position if you perform the best. It's not promised to anyone else. Most competitors are okay with that message...

I bet part of the reason lashlee left is because he wanted pindell to be the guy and he was pissed when Randy yanked him for shirreffs
That's strange. I thought Pindell was pulled because he couldn't move the offense vs. Holy Cross.

And the rest of the year proved that Lashlee was okay with it...

?

It's not the end of the world/time to panic/or even the tiniest bit unusual that a true freshman and RS freshman couldn't beat out a senior JUCO last year who was also our best player. This year we at the very least needed to bring in a body. If it turns out he can play, even better. Only bad look is if we get bad qb play this year. They will all get a chance and the best guy will play, as it should be

Against Holy Cross the coaches hadn't figured out that Pindell needed to run 20 times a game. They used him as a dropback/rollout QB. He was a mediocre passer at best. If they played to his strengths he might have beat out Sherriffs. But that is all water under the bridge.

More experienced guy? He’s only played one season in the last four years. I think Washington and Krajewski have more games and PT in their senior year of high school than Beaudry has in his entire D2 career. Also, it’s not MW or Steven Krajewski’s fault they got two seconds of PT. Edsall had opportunities to put either QB in numerous blowout games. Im not sold on this guy coming in here and taking over. I’m betting the starter is going to be Washington or Krajewski.

I don't get this post at all. I'm sure Beaudry played a lot in high school too. The point is that he does have more college game experience and the other two have barely seen the field. That doesn't mean that he will win the job, but it shouldn't be ignored.

The point is that even though he played one year at college he was a TE in high school and was asked to play QB in his junior year because of his size. Both MW and Steven Krajewski have played QB since youth football. Both were successful at power house high schools in their home states. And both went to the state championship games in their senior year. Based on everything I’ve read and seen MW and Steven Krajewski have more experience than Beaudry. Hopefully, Randy picks the best player.
