Marquette Presser from Hurley

The meaningless word “toughness” needs to be stripped from his vocabulary. Endurance, intensity, focus, will…
It's apple and oranges, but I used to love to hear Pat Summit talking about "toughness" when Tennessee played UConn. She tell her players to be tough and Geno ran plays that worked over and over. You need more than toughness - a good game plan and in-game adjustments can make toughness much more effective.

Smart's presser came up after Hurley's. He started off by saying "just something special in this league when basketball means so much to both programs like it does to UCONN and to Marquette." Great to listen to.

Near end of presser he said they needed two of Oso to handle Clingan and Sanogo.

Imagine throwing both Clingan and Sanogo on the court at the same time? Maybe Shaka wouldve had to go 2 bigs himself for defensive purposes which may have taken one of the athletes off the court who were abusing our defenders? Just saying change it up make others adjust on the run once in a while.

Did you noticer Hurley look at the reporter like he was from space when he said "pack the paint and shut down Adama." The didn't pack the paint at all, they guarded the three point line then collapsed on AS after the ball went inside.
