Marquette game rescheduled to 2/23 [merged thread]

It was:
  • 2/9 Villanova
  • 2/11 DePaul
  • 2/13 Marquette
  • 2/18 Xavier
Now with that 2/13 game rescheduled, there will be a 7 day gap between DePaul and Xavier. Hopefully they can put a game or 2 in there from the ones previously postponed (maybe @home Butler or @away Georgetown)...

They are still playing 2/13. This is the December make up.

The 2/23 game is the game that was supposed to be on 12/29 and is the home game for us

No, this announcement was about the home game between UConn and Marquette, which was supposed to occur at the beginning of 2022 and was "postponed" at the time. This is similar to what was done with the DePaul away game.

The 2/13 away game in Milwaukee is not affected by this. Good thing -- since I am visiting my brother in Milwaukee and they have purchased tickets for the game.

I was looking at the gaps in the game schedule before the BE tournament, and wondered if one or more of the cancelled games could be fit in there. Here's hoping.

The Marquette game previously postponed has been scheduled for Wednesday 2/23 at the XL center. This was just announced on 97.9 fm.

This is good for uconn, but sad for me. I was hoping the georgetown game was going to be rescheduled.

.-.
We still have a slot for a game to be scheduled for 2/15 0r 2/16, if I'm looking at that correctly. Any investigators out there know if Georgetown, Villanova, or Butler have ability to play either of those dates?

My apologies. I did not see the original post.

G'town hosts DePaul on the 13th and Marquette on the 18th. The 15th and 16th look open.

Will put a call into the box office but wondering if anyone knows the answer: Can ticket holders to the original postponed game just bring their original tickets on the 23rd and they will be honored? I think I read somewhere that that is the case.

Thanks for the schedule link. In looking at the remaining home games, is there usually this many games games at the XL Center?
It’s usually 50/50 with Gampel. I haven’t counted the games at each site but there are games with men’s hoops and volleyball that need to be played at Gampel as well that might affect the schedule

Per UConn, season ticket holders and those who bought a three-game mini-plan or single-game ticket for the matchup can use their original tickets to the game.

Thank you, Nan

Same number as Gampel. That’s the way it always is. Season ticket packages have to have the same number of games.

That is the only date available. The Big East will only allow three games in a week.

Yes, 50/50 between Gambel and the XL center. Also, the reason why Sunday's game was at noon was because the Wolfpack had a game later on Sunday and I guess it takes time to rip up the court and reconfigure the XL.

Yes, that was in the email from UConn's Athletic Department announcing the rescheduled game.

Also, I expect and hope that UConn is more interested in rescheduling the Villanova away game than in any game with Georgetown.

I have heard nothing from the ticket vendor Georgetown uses of a rescheduled game with UConn. Since I had tickets for the cancelled game, I am supposed to be notified of any rescheduled game.
