Marisa Moseley named head coach at her alma mater Boston University.

Congrats to Marisa. All the best in your new position.

You know, we haven't won a NC since Rosemary Ragle left the program. :( Just sayin'.

More injuries too. Hmmmm.....

Nobody thinks Carla Berube would be a good fit? She probably wouldn't take it and they apparently have a candidate in mind, but she has proven she can coach.

On a personal note, before transferring to UConn, I spent my first two years of college at BU. It's a great place to be for many reasons. It's a fun city with much happening all the time, for one. She'll knows it and probably loves it there.

Marisa is great and I would have loved for her and Shea to have become co-head coaches when Geno is done.

.-.

All kidding aside, this whole program and family concept that Geno and CD have created all these years is what makes me follow this program and to see the jubilance on all their faces to celebrate Marisa's new gig is awesome. We all probably need to enjoy the journey more and not the destination as the sole end-all-be-all component as watching the team, interacting/conversing with all you BYers is the participation required to make life worth enjoying. Thank you Geno, CD and the rest of the program including all the BYers out there!!!! :)

Now back to your regularly scheduled commentary...is it me or does Geno look a bit run down/tired? CD and Marisa look great and Shea for her condition looks very good.

I've rarely seen a male coach over the age of 60 that doesn't look tired...................have you seen Coach K or Roy Williams lately?

Just putting this out there not sure if she was even a candidate but wouldn't the UVA, Minnesota, Pitt or BC jobs been a better opportunity for Marisa? BU is Marisa home but from a resources stand point BU can't touch any of those schools -just sayin?

It will be interesting to see who Marissa hires as her assistants. Any guesses? I really hope she turns that program around in short order. ;)

So, when is the BU vs UConn game scheduled? ;)

Soon I would suspect. To help give her program some immediate visibility and national exposure.

Salary wise BU is not in the same stratosphere as UCONN or the P5 for assistant coaches. That will surely limit the applicant.

Those schools probably wanted someone with head coaching experience.

That's why I said I did not think it was such a big step up for Marisa to take the HC job at BU.
