Her numbers don't really stand out - she's a 6'1" forward with an inside game........in 20 minutes she averaged 7.6 pts/ 4 rebounds per game this past season at WVU but she was Honorable Mention Big 12 twice, Academic Big12 First Team and Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year.........she could serve a role off the bench spotting Edwards for a few minutes.......
That description sounds a lot like Aubrey. Is there something we should be worried about maybe something they’re not telling us about the back injury?

I think you never know how players will recover after serious back injuries..........that said, if Aubrey is available, she is more of a quick guard/small forward who happens to be a fine defender and rebounder based on her athleticism/aggression......from what I have read Niblack is more of an undersized but effective interior presence.....

High School seasons just ended and lots of kids already playing AAU all over the country so no downtime. No wonder so many knee injuries. Keep in mind the purpose of any AAU event is to make $ for someone off the backs and knees of these kids sad very sad.

AAU is a non-profit organization.
It may have pitfalls but there are other leagues, some for-profit and others non-profit.
No one forces any player to join but it does cost money to fund a team.
If kids want a chance for a scholarship or more PT they need to learn somewhere.

Those youth did not just play a 35-40 game HS schedule with practices pretty much every day there was not a game. There needs to be a mandatory down time for these kids after school ball season. I understand AAU is non profit but every sanctioned event someone is making $ off entry fees, gate and concessions.

In CT, the varsity girls LL teams only play a 20 game schedule before the state tournament begins.
The state tournament champion would need to win 5 additional games unless they have a bye, then it's only 4 additional wins.

Just Womens Sports' All American teams:

F Ayanna Patterson, Homestead (Ind.), Sr.

25.8 PPG, 11.8 RPG, 2.5 APG, 2 BPG
UConn

The winner of Indiana’s prestigious Miss Basketball award, Patterson led Homestead to a one-loss regular season. The all-around player is also known for her impressive dunks.

G Ashlynn Shade, Noblesville (Ind.), Jr.

20.9 PPG, 8.3 RPG, 4.1 APG, 3.7 SPG
UConn

Shade capped a superlative junior campaign by scoring 31 points in the state title game, tying an all-time record.

P Isuneh Brady, Cathedral Catholic (Cal.), Sr.

20.7 PPG, 12.8 RPG, 3.3 APG, 1.8 BPG
UConn

The big known as “Ice” was in a class of her own in the San Diego area, especially in the low post.

As well as Lauren Fields transfer from OKSU
5'9" guard led a pretty poor OSU team (9-20) in scoring averaging 34.7 minutes per game, averaged 15.4 ppg but only shot .329 from two and .284 from three along with 4.1 rebounds per game...........First Team All Big 12 Academic selection last season........

Wow, I know this is a highlight reel but she looks strong and has a great shot.

Ashlyn has turn-around and pull-up jumpers that are very advanced. Think Sue Bird.
