St. John's is winning. People here overestimate their "built only for the BE". They were a top 5 pre-season team that struggled to gel early.
Fact is, they have a HOF coach and talented players. With the way Duke played, I can see St. John's knocking them off too.

I thought St Johns would do things last year but they ended up having bad chemistry and something was off with RJ Luis. Doesnt seem like they have that problem this year, so they could win some games..

I thought this too. Does UNC entice Jay Wright or Billy Donavan? Or enter Luke Murray? This would be huge for Hurleys coaching tree.

No question, but we have seen what happens to very good teams when they go cold as both teams did in their last 2 matchups.

While I embrace Miami, Ohio being disregarded unfairly I have always thought one mid major conference is always overrated and over seeded. The WCC. St. Mary’s got wrecked and now Gonzaga is struggling. MVC is a better league.

Here me out- The Big East was down for sure this season and unimpressive out of conference but these other power conferences aren't nearly as good as people are making them out to be outside of the Big 12. SEC is wildly overrated, I watched Bama play all year long and they're not very good. I know they beat St. John's in a shootout early in the season but they just aren't that good. Georgia is getting smoked by St. Louis. The very top teams in college basketball are really good and I don't think there's many of them. There's still a lot of parity.
