OK... after SFA misses, up one and ND gets the ball with 20-something seconds left - if you're SFA would you foul there?

Maybe so, but SFA's shot selection the last two trips left a little to be desired.

That's true, but you can't get around two horrible calls.

Without those calls and just the bad shots- would they have lost? You can't say.

But bad shot selection and 100% bad refereeing guaranteed that they lost.

This TV schedule is frustrating with only 1 game on at a time during the day. Wish it wasn't so back-loaded with primetime games (on a Sunday no less). If this OU/VCU stays the course, then 2 of these first 3 games will have been uncompetitive.

I don't see why- you have to force the other team to score on you rather than putting them at the line with a chance to take the lead.

ND is a pretty good ft shooting team too.

MTSU is probably going to struggle. They spread Michigan State out and attacked off dribble - they can't do the same things against a zone. Probably the only chance is to lock down on D and win a low scoring game.

I have been ranting to friends all weekend about the schedule.

You have 8 games - why in the world would we be stuck watching 3 halftime shows and endure 2 half hour gaps? So you can start a game after 10pm Eastern?

The weekend schedule drives me insane.

2 pretty weak calls against VCU the last 2 sequences...

Fix is in for Oklahoma. Once VCU drew even, 4 or 5 calls in a row in favor of the home team.

VCU player clearly was not out of bounds. By multiple inches. How are the announcers not addressing that?

VCU's inability to corral loose balls on their defensive glass is going to cost them this game.

Ball was out of bounds.
Good call. CBS had one replay showing it at first, but the next bunch they showed started after the ball bounced on the line. I suppose that's where I (am many people on Twitter) got a little confused.

MTSU falling apart after briefly taking the lead. Lydon is blocking everything and Gbinijie ain't missing anything.

The only thing missing from this Sweet 16 at this point is Boston College.
