Here we go again today:

12:10 - 7) Oregon vs 2) Iowa - CBS
2:40 - 8) Oklahoma vs 1) Gonzaga - CBS
5:15 - 14) Abilene Christian vs 11) UCLA - TBS
6:10 - 13) Ohio vs 5) Creighton - TNT
7:10 - 8) LSU vs 1) Michigan - CBS
7:45 - 5) Colorado vs 4) Florida St - TBS
8:45 - 10) Maryland vs 2) Alabama - TNT
9:40 - 6) USC vs 3) Kansas - CBS

I want nothing more than to see Maryland get their azzes beat down and send them home crying.

A Creighton loss would be satisfying as well.

Hopefully either Nova or Gonzaga wins it all.

Mick Cronin has no excuse not to get to the 2nd weekend this year

It will be interesting to see how Nate Oates deals with facing two of the best players in the country when he had only two days to prepare for the match-up.

hey! see what i did there? in todays games, im cheering for a big bust team, the only one of dem bums that i thought had game all year.

What the hell were the computer numbers for the pac 12 this year?
I didn’t hear much about them from the experts and their teams are killing it this year. Vastly outperforming their seeds. Meanwhile other leagues look like they were overhyped.

Garza's a fascinating story. He's one of the best true big men to come around in a while and there's a real chance he doesn't get drafted until the mid-late 2nd round. If it was 1980-2000, he would be a top ten pick with his skills.

In a year with little interconferece play determining conference strength was really difficult.

Defensive battle, 100 total points at the half. These B1G teams are so freaking overrated.

Want Iowa and Maryland to loose. Just clean house of most of the B1G teams ibefore the Sweet 16. I will always cheer for our conference as it helps the perception of UConn. LSU-Michigan could be interesting. Alabama’s athleticism and 3-point shooters will be way too much for Maryland. That game will be a blow out and will also show what UConn lacks. Fun having these games on a Monday

At some point someone in the Iowa/Oregon game needs to play defense. If I wanted to watch a 100 point game I’d tune in to the NBA. College BB needs a balance of offense and defense, not all of one or the other for a good watch.

upon further review, every single team playing today is not from the 'northeast' (maryland is south of the mason-dixon line, and it's not a state anyway, it's a fishery.) what happened to the baloney aboot 'streets y'all', the hood, the truth, crunk, the gahden, home of real hoops, momma said knock you out, blah, blah, blah... blahbitty blah.. 'the johnnies are back!' and so on.?
according to the recent championship records, there's nova and us. period. the rest is all just talk.
we're a great, big, mahvelous, hoops nation.
recognize!

That's the classic definition of the south. But I think most people associate anything north of D.C as culturally Northeast nowadays. Maryland and D.C have far more in common with the North today than with the South (see: Northeast Megalopolis as one such example)

Agree w this. I want the fraudulent B1G to get totally exposed.....which is completely happening thus far. Would love to see them go 0 for the Sweet 16.

l have family cultural memories connected to the swamp going back to the days when the bearded and big hat guy, all world stretch four, was large and in charge.
all them places, silver springs, rockville, frederick, were an early 'we're movin to a new cornfield subdivision in some place called ...'
the quick story - 'so that's what happens when you add lawyers, bankers, and paper pushers to a formerly mellow place - it becomes new yak city!'
byebye, south jersey (the garden state!). it's been nice knowing ya, and ur blueberries and tomatoes were a thing of beauty. but hey, now that all the hay and grain, little electronics shops, deere supply places, sporting goods and haberdashery places are now starbucks, shrink and nutritionist joints, foofoo pizzarias and such, well....

apparently, even the mention for the phrase 'big ten' triggers me. i'll have to work on that, and take my leave now before i screw up another legit thread...
my apologies.

Creighton and Villanova have the easiest paths to the Sweet Sixteen.....Both will have only had to have beaten a 12 seed and a 13 seed to make the Sweet Sixteen...

They certainly were lucky in the bracketing.

Will St John's claim a S16 with Oregon advancing like Rutgers has with UConn NBA $ earned?
