March Madness, 2nd round - Saturday

Mark Few, always the bridesmaid’s friend, never the bride
Would be curious to what the Zag's collective looks like - I get the feeling they'll be phasing out before they start competing for NC's. It was a nice run for Few.

Our KenPom ranking is skyrocketing with this Texas run. This will help with recruiting.

Always liked Miller - he's very good X and Os
He’s a fantastic coach and his guys love playing for him. I knew he would move on from X eventually, but wish he stayed in the BE. Plus, he got Swain to follow him. I mentioned in a thread back in January that Swain flies under so many people’s radars. He’s really a complete basketball player and makes great decisions.

With the crowd support they are getting and the way they travel if nebraska advances the tickets in Houston are gonna be hard to come by.

Also to that point florida if they advance are looking at what amounts to two possible true road games to reach the final 4

They’re also playing really well.

That is another reason I pull for Gonzaga. I guess I could relate with UConn in the mid 90s dying to breakthrough to their first Final Four. It's a downer they lost.
Meanwhile the Nebraska -Vandy game has a nice environment -it's a home game for Nebraska with the game in Oklahoma City.

Interesting, we're seeing the volatility play out on our end with 3 point shooters unable to convert on wide open looks

Golden nails it - if you want to dominate with the NIL advantage, you're not doing it with finesse, you're doing it with manpower. Hurley, take notice. This is what I've been talking about, Golden confirming it. '

Thanks for sharing - good set of tweets. Hurley needs to start thinking about his strategy because his very recent quote is already outdated and obsolete.

When the top three teams are tossing out Mara/Johnson/Yaxel, Krivos/Peat/Awaka and Ngongba/Boozer/Brown, it's a trend worth noticing.

The mid majors have become weaker because they no longer have the under the radar kid who’s now a senior. That kid transferred as a sophomore or junior.

And the big guys are no longer a few frosh phenoms that might crash in the tourney — they’ve been able to import veteran leaders.

I did like him but it's lame he left Xavier for a second time.
Xavier as a university is experiencing some extreme pressures. I'm not sure they have the ability to do well in this environment. Their discounts for students at this point are among the steepest in the nation and their admission rate is sky high. 89%. This means they have one of the lowest yields in the nation which puts the entire school under heavy heavy pressure.

Michigan may win it all with 7'2 Mara and their dominant frontline but you still win with really good guards. They will need their guards to show up in the big games. It's why Florida won last season and it's why I picked Arizona this season.

Not sure how that response makes sense to a Gonzaga post.

Do you want to live in ignorance or accept reality?
Let’s see…..first you said the tourney would be all chalk. Then you hedged just before it started and said you could see several upsets. And now that hasn’t happened so you’re back to your original call.

You should change your username to Chameleon

Or maybe, just post less

I'm confused here, do you imagine UConn and Hurley haven't had bigs that dominated the position in their two runs? Even last year and this year the bigs weren't exactly an afterthought, they were just too mercurial. Reed showed he can be an absolute monster but...
