When you watch these mid majors play it looks like JV compared to the top 20 teams.
When will you do us a solid and start only posting on the Michigan board?

He doesn’t have infinitely more coaching experience. He has 2 years more head coaching experience. That also doesn’t really contradict my point that he has a really small amount of experience to get a high major job and is a pretty big risk for a program that can’t really afford that risk right now IMO.GMac has (literally) infinitely more coaching experience than Autry, who was not a college head coach before getting hired at Syracuse.
Because I like when Michigan loses. When will you do us a solid and start only posting on the Michigan board?
It simply looks like another sport these days. A watered down MM is going to have zero chance against teams with multiple first rounders on them. And at some point you have to acknowledge how bad the other team really is. They got Ohio by 2 in OT and that team is awful.
I'm sorry, did UConn NOT beat St Johns ?
I get going away from the Cuse family especially after hiring Autry blew up in their face but I would go for a serious proven high major winner if that's the case, not an inexperienced head coach in Bryan Hodgson.Even in a vacuum I think it’s a bad idea. He might be a good coach, but what a huge risk for any high major program to take right now. One good year in a bad conference where his program outspends everyone else. He could easily be Kim English at the high major level if he got a job right now.
Kids sitting out conference tourney's kind of tells you how much anyone cares about these things.
I think it's important for Uconn given we have a bone to pick with Pitino, but generally not overly concerned with it. I remain optimistic Hurley has this group ready to go for the big dance, StJ part 2 style, but hedging with some of the realities of the roster.
Yeah it's a back injury as far as I know, which is the kind of thing that does improve with rest. He's out because he's injured.
Seems like the kind of injury he'd play through if the ACC tourney mattered.Yeah it's a back injury as far as I know, which is the kind of thing that does improve with rest.
Maybe, maybe not. He missed 8 games with it earlier in the season that included probably their 2 biggest home games (and they lost both).Seems like the kind of injury he'd play through if the ACC tourney mattered.
Purdue had Edey and Ivey plus a few years back which granted was before NIL but high talent as if, lost to cinderella St Peters who had no one making the NBA. Pure Cinderella.Follow the money. It's not going to get better. It's going to become less variable.
I'd like to know how cinderellas have any chance when all the money/talent is going to consolidate in the top 20 teams or so. There are only so many programs out there with enough $$ committed to hoops. P4 will only grow stronger. This isn't 2005. This is a professional sport, like baseball. The difference is that in baseball, a small market team can see lightning strike occasionally through their farm system.
I'd expect May & Scheyer to be top 5 every season.
Crazy they'll get as many bids as the BE.
That was as cinderella as it gets.Purdue had Edey and Ivey plus a few years back which granted was before NIL but high talent as if, lost to cinderella St Peters who had no one making the NBA. Pure Cinderella.
Not sure if NIL and portal change this as the talent was there on many teams Cinderella beat.

Conference tourneys can still matter while not mattering as much as march madness. As has always been the case. You can’t help but try to turn everything Into a hot take.Seems like the kind of injury he'd play through if the ACC tourney mattered.
1st place, 2nd best team.If what Florida is doing now should be discredited for “feasting on a weak league”, shouldn’t the questions be why we didn’t feast on an even weaker league? Multiple weak SEC teams beat up on the 2nd place team in the Big East this year.
It should matter for Louisville. They’re not that good.Seems like the kind of injury he'd play through if the ACC tourney mattered.
It really does, and they lost to a number of teams OOC that aren't even that bood. Kentucky, Bama, Auburn. They had zero, count it, zero, halfway decent OOC wins.1st place, 2nd best team.
Disgusting that we let St. John’s win the conference. Completely discredits the conference even more when this team did not beat a single opponent of importance
This UConn team still has everything in front of them and can achieve great things. They are 27-4 with a 17-3 Big East record. The starters are very good and the bench has potential, but the bench has to show consistent performance.1st place, 2nd best team.

So you're saying UConn isn't very good? 😀1st place, 2nd best team.

I'm saying there may be a bit of load management prior to the real tourney, especially for some of these kids that are first round draft picks. Obviously some small injury in there. Are you trying to start a narrative that kids are sitting out conference tourneys? Do you have any examples of this happening that are not injury related? I don’t pay attention to chatgpt responses but if you have legit examples I’d love to see them.
