March General CBB Discussion Thread

Some good conference championship games on right now for those that are interested. All games are close and competitive and in the 2nd half.

CAA Championship (CBS Sports Network)
3- Monmouth vs 1-Hofstra

Horizon League Championship (ESPN)
3-Detroit Mercy vs. 1-Wright St.

NEC Championship
3-Mercyhurst vs 1- Long Island U-Brooklyn
-I bet our comrade Hey Adrien is at this game

I don't agree with the first half, but yeah the Elite 8 will probably be mostly 1 and 2 seeds. I would expect at least 3 double digit seeds in the Sweet 16 though and I think those are still Cinderella stories

Any double digit seed in the S16 is a Cinderella. I’d have to see that to believe it. I don’t see it playing out. I can see some of the 4 seeds upset prior to the S16.

Some of the really good mid majors already lost so it's getting less likely by the day. But I still like Santa Clara, Hofstra, McNeese, Yale, Northern Iowa as intriguing options to win 2 games depending on what those matchups look like

I have been reading their board, and they're mostly interested in Hodgson but all still rooting for GMac.

They want to distance themselves from every aspect of Boeheim, and it sounds like GMac is a bit bitter that he wasn't chosen initially.

One thing we can all agree on: Autry is an awful coach.

I think they are in a pickle because McNamara is a really good coach and he'll be coaching at a major school very soon if Cuse doesn't grab him.

Hofstra going to the big dance for the first time in 25 years. They have a Silas of their own and he's 7' tall.

Gerry McNamara's voice sounds exactly like Mick Cronin. He also looks like a much larger Cronin with hair.

Well they were better than this years UConn team so yes. 4 of those starters were/will be drafted and Sanogo was final 4 MOP.

Almost all core players at top teams will be lead by transfers or high end freshmen that are NBA talent by year 2.

There are many trends that are developing with NIL.

He doesn’t need to counter with anything. Your post is pointless. The 23 team would win easily last year and this year. Hell, our 25 team almost beat the eventual champion. You post for shock value. Get a clue and sounds like you need to get a job. You post in here way too much. Silence is a virtue.
