Well in that case we can’t not get him. I can’t even imagine two 7 footers in the starting lineup.

Not usually a fan of double bigs but Reibe/Diop could work.

That said, if Diop stays in college ball (and he probably should considering he is probably 15-25 in this year's draft at best) he will be getting a boatload of NIL.

Everything about Kansas this season is weird and off. They look great at home and they stink on the road. Peterson plays when he wants to throughout the season and he looked great doing that when he was in there. Now that he's playing the whole games he is totally hit or miss.
Agreed. I'm glad I didn't watch this one. They remain a really dangerous team for anybody they play, but I don't think they can string together 3-4 good performances in a row.

Well, we're going to have a boatload of NIL money to give him.

Bobby is going to be an assistant to Danny and bring Diop? Is that the dream? Seems pretty far fetched that Bobby can’t get his own good head coaching spot.

Maybe Bobby can get the PC job when they can English. I think he'd be more successful there than at ASU.

I could honestly see it as a 1-2 year stopover for him, but only if Kimani or Luke finally takes a head position somewhere after this season.

Define “good” because the job would prob be worse than ASU. Would diop just blindly follow him anywhere or does he want to compete for a natty?

Imagine him at PC - two Hurley's within an hour of each other. One can dream.

Would be nice. Does he play the 4 next to Reibe? That'd be an enormous front line
4 or 5 doesn't matter, they are both versatile and would start together. I've convinced myself this is happening because it's such an amazing fit.

I like it. I'd love to see Hurley and Murray get creative with that pairing. He also gives us the lob threat we lost with Samson.

Is that enough shooting in the lineup? I'm not against it but just my first thought of Diop and Reibe

They can both shoot for big guys and Diop can face up and take people off the dribble. We're great but I think we've been a little too obsessed with having 4 shooters on the floor and have sacrificed size and athleticism for it. It has worked out this season but we are at a physical disadvantage against a handful of other top teams.

Diop would solve our lack of physicality, lack of intimidation, lack of athleticism, lack of rim attack, and lack of alley oops all in one player.

With the disappearance of the mid-major the NCAA tournament seems to be slowly moving to mirror what the UEFA Champions League qualification format is. Top leagues are guaranteed "X" number of spots and then "X" number of teams for consideration as at large. Smaller leagues will only get their champion in and no consideration for at large bids outside of that.

In a way it is sad, but also the at large bids should be for the best available teams. Of course the power conference teams have a much better opportunity to steer their metrics in the right direction just by playing in a power conference.
