One reason DePaul is still hanging around in the polls must have something to do with their 4 quality losses ;) ; #3 TA&M; #5 Louisville (...yeah I know many don't believe in Lou to begin with), #4 UConn and #3 UConn again...and their one quality win #9 UK (shouldn't this UK loss to DePaul also been a bad loss for them?)...but unlike UK when they lose they don't move up in the polls. Trend for DePaul is downward and will probably be out in todays Coaches Poll.

I would have ranked Marquette over Depaul
Don't be surprised when the Coaches pick Marquette for the #25 spot later today...unless they can squeeze in another SEC team in that slot. :p

Yeah, at 3-16 Butler is definitely a team on the rise!
Actually, now that they have a full roster and have been able to practice, they are much better than their record. They could pull an upset in round 1 of the BET. Over the past 1-2 weeks, their level of play has been at about the middle of the conference. Watch the 2nd UConn game and DePaul game. They don't at all resemble the injury plagued team that UConn beat by nearly 70 in January. I'm not saying they are good, but their level of play is more like that of an 8-8 team than a 3-16 team. Weird!

I was looking at Southern Floridas schedule and it led me to wonder why they are ranked #15. I assume they are an example of a team that gets an undeserved push up by beating an over ranked team early. They beat a then #6 ranked Miss St who since then has dropped like a rock. That other than an early 5 pt loss to Baylor when Baylor was also struggling. They have a 29 pt blow out losss to Huston and are still ranked at #15.

Oh boy DePaul. They lost to Butler. Pick any of the "others receiving votes" and put them at #25 ahead of DePaul now.
What has happened to DePaul, do they have a key player injured or did they have a break due to COVID? They just aren't the same as they were a month ago.
Key player out, no time table

Soft spot in the chart.
Oregon, Ohio St had multiple losses
WVa, Georgia, Kentucky, USF also had losses.

USF probably should've fallen more after getting creamed by Houston, but only dropped 2 because of all the other losing teams.
Ga & KY moved up despite going 1-1 last week for the same reason.

Not sure I would rank DePaul ahead of Marquette. But then I don’t think I would rank DePaul period, a mediocre record playing in a mediocre conference—if you ignore conference champion.
