March 18 games thread

Wow... I am stunned that here in SC, we are NOT getting the South Carolina/Virginia game on ESPN2.

Maybe because it's on ESPN? OK - You found it.

Really would be fine with Virginia beating USC. Something different should we advance to meet them.

The wife isn’t really a basketball fan, except for UConn games, so I get to watch Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Doesn’t look like I’m missing much with Virginia and SC

Ummm, so....and I know I'll regret saying this and they are of course going to win big in the 2nd half...but SCarolina has looked really bad so far this tournament no?

If they don't find an offense next week I don't know if they get by Florida State.

Baylor is turning this into a rout. Not surprising with most of the Michigan offense limited to Flaherty and Thome.
South Carolina - Virginia only 5 pt diff at the half but offense on both sides is so stodgy I'd almost prefer the Baylor rout. Attributed to stout defense by the announcers. Hmmm
I wonder how Lauren Cox stacks up against Ellen Della Donne? I really haven't seen much of Delle Donne since I don't follow the WNBA all that much.

Virginia has the special talent of making all of their games unwatchable regardless of opponent.

So tired of the SC, VA game. 1st VA has missed a crazy number of shots, 2nd Aja getting lots of interesting foul calls... then gives the incredulous look to Refs when she gets called for 1 foul, and announcers keep calling her NPOY, did I miss the big announcement??? No trophy given out yet.

Post-game interview with Coach Mulkey. It was clear she was directing the offense from the sidelines for most of the game. As she explained, Kristy Wallace knew all of the plays, but Morris and Landrum didn't so she had to walk them through the sets. I think Wallace went back to Australia.

Oregon-Minnesota starting in a few minutes. Should be a cure for all of the angst about low scoring, bad offense games.

Oregon-Minnesota is a crazy frenetic pace so far. 21-16, first break in the action w/ 3 minutes and change left, Ducks ahead.

Ionescu doing some of everything. She has been lights out in the Tourney so far. She also just set the Pac 12 single season record for assists. Just a few games ago UCLA's Canada became the Pac 12 career leader in assists.

Ionescu is almost halfway to a triple double w/ almost 3 minutes left in the 1st quarter! 8 pts 4 rebs 4 assists.

Come on now. Ionescu is ridiculous. She's just killing Minnesota. 13 pts 4 reb 5 assists. 30-22 Oregon after Q1. This is some entertaining basketball. Oregon isn't quite on pace for 140...but they aren't playing St. Francis.

I switched to Oregon/Minnesota. Couldn’t take much more of it.
