The annual HoopHall Classic, held at Springfield College in Springfield, MA, in mid-January brings together the top girls and boys high school teams in the country over a five-day period. January 2026 will feature six girls games, including 10 top national teams, all on Friday the 16th.

Here is a list of the top players scheduled for that date, including their ESPN ranking and schools. Perhaps someone else can point out which are UConn offerees and POIs.

I posted this info not only for those within driving distance of Springfield, but because it's likely that some of these games will be broadcast on ESPN platforms and other streaming sites, all presumably to be announced later.

HERE is the link to purchase Friday the 16th tickets, which at $32 are not as reasonably priced as they have been in the past.

Last January, the Olivia Vukosa's CTK team played Ontario Christian, which had Kaleena Smith, 6-6 Sydney "Bean" Douglas (not on the team this season), and superfrosh Tatianna Griffin.

Here is the Big O vertically and non-swat blocking Bean . . .

The Big O dominated and did a defensive clamp-job on Bean in that game, shooting 9-11, 2-2, 5-8 for 25 points and nine rebounds, to Douglas's 3-16, 1-3, 0-0 for seven points and six rebounds.

Just a reminder about the lollapalooza GHSBB tournament at Springfield College next Friday, January 16.

In addition, Christ the King High School, ranked #3 in New York by MaxPreps will be there, featuring UConn recruit Olivia "Big O" Vukosa.

I recommend lunch at the Red Rose, which is the largest pizzeria in the USA according to Dave Portnoy.

For those who cannot make the tourney in person, the 7:00 and 8:30 marquee games will be streamed on the NBA App, NBA.com and NBA YouTube.

Gael: thanks for this informative post. If you see that any of the girls' games are televised...particularly
one with our incoming or are our targets, please let us know....preferably on the main board. CTK is there
virtually every year...viewed almost as a hometown team. I sure hope The Boneyard is represented for some
commentary...especially on Olivia.

When I lived in the area I frequently went to see a few of our players....it was great to get
a preview of how they played. They have greatly expanded the women's games...good!

BTW: the men's side is also great. Part of the entertainment is to see the famous college coaches in
attendance....men and women games. I'm sure Geno and staff will be there...I sure hope
Hurley is as well. On that Monday we host ND at 5:00 on Fox. I wonder if any of our targets
might pop down that weekend for an unofficial visit?

Blake, the only games that will be broadcast on national TV (ESPN) are the boy's games on Monday, Jan. 19. The girl's games will be streamed on NBA outlets as stated in my prior post. Attached as a PDF is the entire schedule for broadcasting and streaming the boy's and girl's games.
