This is a nice thread and all, from a friendly fan.
But f@ck this league. I want the B1G.
As Stephen Stills wrote, "Love the one you're with." But this isn't my dream gal.

This is an off year for a TempleAAC is fine this year. But next year when Louisville exits and Tulsa, Tulane and ECU come in...different story. If UConn is in this league long-term, it needs Cincinnati, Memphis and Temple to consistently field good teams.
I love VCU but my gut tells me they're headed to the Big East soon enough. This is an off year for a Temple
I expect them to be good next year.
We need one more basketball power to replace Louisville.
I like VCU.
With UConn,Temple, Cinn, Memphis and VCU plus SMU, Houston you have a pretty decent conference.
ECU should come in as football only. With two football only team we can afford one basketball only.

Sure, but Jamaica, Queen's the garden spot of the world.jibsey said:Anyone checking the bottom of the ACC or the BE? St. Johns is 0-5.

The AAC is a far cry from the old Big East. As many have pointed out, the loss of UL is going to hurt, but as long as the AAC gets solid TV contracts, the top of the league should improve and help some of the programs that have been good in the past improve both their exposure and recruiting, which go hand-in-hand.SMU and Temple should keep improving next year
