This UConn team has too many weapons for IMO any opponent. On defense they dont guard you like many other teams they look at you as prey and attack you. Theyre focused on stealing the ball not just guarding you. This makes it difficult for opponets to score. It places doubt in their heads. It makes them cautious. It causes pressure and by putting pressure on opponents well we know the result.

UConn executes as a team getting everybody involved with touches, setting screens and constant movement. Everybody is included not just one player who everybody else depends on. Not one player who everybody needs to set up plays for. By including everybody theres constant movement. Constant movement keeps players alert and from just standing around. It keeps them involved with execution and the process.

On offense there are alot of similarities. UConn has players who can create their own shot. They have athleticism and are quick. They execute for each other not one player. When needed they have a player who can step up. The team is managed with discipline and results. There is no "I" in UConns team however the "I" is the team.

These are reasons why so many kids are attracted to UConn. This is why Geno's teams continue to be at the top of the charts. This is why UConn is a dynasty.

UConn teams dont wait for something to happen they have been taught how to make it happen

Just nine hours until your truth (very positive, as it should be) can be analyzed in the post-game pressers. One play at a time - both on defense & offense. Regardless of who is in the game, no drop off, and the defense continues to feed the offense.

With so many back from last year's NC run, and K9 who had to play UConn twice, I believe the chemistry will build much quicker than last year. Also, I do not think they need a loss (like to UTenn last year) to flip the switch to focus on February, March, and April and be the best they can be.

The Michigan game should be a thing of beauty.

Go Huskies!!!

I completely agree. The new kids, like Blanca and Kelis may need a little more time. But the veterans -- including Kayleigh -- already know what this level of competition is all about, namely ironclad teamwork, and that gets built on a foundation of team defense.

As Ronald Reagan once said, "We're ready to hit the ground running."

On some nights the ball just won't go through the basket, but there is absolutely no excuse for having a bad night on defense. Defense is one of UConn's strengths. Even when the ball has a hard time going into the basket, defense can keep UConn in the game.

I thought Ronald Reagan said , "Well........there you go again!"
