I would play half these team annually in a 12 game schedule, maybe 4. Not really interested in joining as a member. Just not the buzz we need if FB is going to survive.

We beat them in the regular season and the A10 div championship game then we lost in the FCS playoffs to a team Umass beat for the national title. .
That hurt.
That was a pretty good conference with a New England and Southern Div

Just for the sake of accuracy. UConn played UMass twice that year, both were regular season games due to a schedule quirk. There was no A10 championship game.

Didn't BU announce that move in 1995 right before they played in Storrs? I swear I remember them on Memorial in white unis with black electrical tape covering-up all BU logos & lettering, etc.

there were also mass forfeits that year due to URI having a fight on campus, i think, that may have been double-up cause.

FYI Northeastern dropped football a while later, maybe late '00's, as I lived in Brookline MA around 2000 with my girlfriend at the time who just graduated from Northeastern. We caught a few Black & Red Husky games at Parsons Field as it was maybe a 1/2 mile from our apartment.

My belief is winning brings fans. Before you go off on us 13,374 was a very good crowd, never mind it was a midweek November game. Stadium capacity is current 17k. Losing kills fan support, it's all about winning and believe you certainly can win in the MAC. From November 2014. A rivalry game on ESPN between UConn - UMass would attract decent attendance.

If we join the MAC I will never go to another UConn game. An occasional game or two on the schedule is enough.

I do think that football will not align in a conference but go an indy route...no MAC conference...but maybe on schedule

It might be a better fit for Buffalo to join the A10 as a full member and The Alliance for football.

UB is 21,600 undergrad. UB Stadium is 25,000.

I think Buffalo to the AAC would be good for both of them. The AAC views things differently.
 
From what I read...there doesn't seem to be a plethora of good choices, in terms of added value, for the AAC to fill with.
