I was never a big boxing guy...got wrapped up into by the 1976 Olympic team with Sugar Ray Leonard. Followed his career and later loved local legend Moochie Starling and did follow him as much as possible. The 80' were full of great boxing moments with Hagler, Benitez, Duran and among the most likeable...Hector Macho Camacho. After that...meh.

Hector's dead now. The drugs took him down, it seems.

But thought he needed a glove tap.

He brought a lot of excitement to the sport. Women, fast cars and drugs have been fatal to many men. Rest in peace!

In his prime he was something to see. Didn't duck anyone, fought all the best and was never once stopped. Fought Chavez in his prime, and Trinidad and Dela Hoya when they were in their early twenties. His KO of Ray Leonard in his last comeback attempt was one of the biggest servings of humble pie I ever saw. RIP.
