Not only that Geew, but posters are saying the Sparks should trade her.
Yup, that too.
Funny cause I thought a few years ago, she should ask for a trade. She seemed to be "stuck".

You got your wish.Lynx. Hope it goes 5.
So if you reread my post, I never said the referees were the reason why LA lost, nor did I say that it was favorable all night. I was just saying those were two really bad calls/no calls down the stretch that you don't typically see having a big of an impact in a game of this magnitude. There were bad calls both ways all game long, and it wasn't meant to be used as an excuse. The Lynx clearly outplayed the Sparks last night, and I acknowledged that in my post.
LadyVol..........I hesitate to agree....I think Candace and Nneka played well overall. Neither had an explosive game but both played well overall I thought. Nneka scooted in for some improbable rebounds and Candace played relatively good defense on a hard to guard center, unless your name is Griner , in Sylvia Fowles. The only problem the Sparks had was untimely fouls. And the Lynx didn't missed their foul shots. If the Lynx had missed those foul shots and the Sparks had come down with the rebound the score would have been different.I pride myself on being honest, whether it hurts the LVs, UCONN, or any other team. Parker did not show up and own the game...neither did nneka. toliver started out making really dumb decisions by fouling and then continued to make dumb decisions by taking totally out of control shots. that shot she fired off the backboard from 30 feet out was such a bozo thing to do. that being said, maya completely carried the lynx. their players stood back and watched a bit too.
That's what we've been saying. Candace is great, but only when the effort is there. You are definitely of the minority. VolNation is blasting Parker for not showing up, taking the game off. They went so far as to say she didn't deserve to be on the Olympic team or on the All-WNBA team.
Also, the game wouldn't have been that close without the performance of Chelsy Gray.
WNBA: Officials missed call late in Game 4
Has the NBA ever come out with a statement like this? 2nd time now that the W has come out stating the refs made bad calls in pivotal moments.
No what is done is done. But never-the-less it is up to the league to acknowledge mistakes by the officials. It's important for the integrity of the game. Accountability is important. Players get held accountable for there mistakes and so should official. Only then will the quality improve.Yes they have. Several times. My thing is, the refs miss calls or make bad calls all the times. They are human like the rest of us. Coming out with this stuff is irrelevant in my eyes. It's not like they are going to go back and replay they game.

The Sparks can do whatever they want tonight. I hope they stink up the court on Thursday. If the Sparks come with "plan A" tonight, I fear they will win. Anything else looks good for the Lynx.

Big bird might have been speaking metaphorically ------You know the long night that must pass before victory brings back the light of day.The Sparks can do whatever they want tonight. I hope they stink up the court on Thursday.![]()

Refs tried to give Sparks the game all through the game. Three fouls on Brunson in the 1st quarter wasn't enough. The fourth quarter was a complete give away of foul calls in favor of the Sparks. Still, no spark to CP or the rest of her team. This backcourt mistake didn't make any difference. But maybe the ref's will finally figure out how to make it up to CP and the Sparks in game 5. Then they can finally feel that phony pride in themselves.WNBA: Officials missed call late in Game 4

Not in my mind, Rebecca's or the other TV announcers, or anyone else who watched the game. Nneka gets 25-second shot clock at the end of the game????? This isn't doing anything for the WNBA's credibility - the team that scored more points lost.Sparks win Sparks win. Sparks win!!

Oh well. Like I learned a few years ago, never blame the refs for the outcome of a game.
If there was ever a time when it was deserved it's this one. Pathetic job after signaling the shot be reviewed.
