Luke Murray and BC?

I'll root for BC for as long as Luke Murray is their coach. As soon as he's moved on to a better job, I'll go back to being basically indifferent to them. That said, that's a tough job. Same goes for Kimani Young. I'll root for wherever he winds up for his contributions to UConn basketball.

Know it may sound crazy, but we need to be going all in on Cam Spencer here. One, he’s a high IQ guy with elite competitiveness and could replace Murray’s offensive mind. Two, he and Hurley are cut from the same cloth - could be a natural successor in 10 years. Three, he won’t last much longer in the NBA, might as well get a good gig now while his stock is high.

Stick with the chat, bud. More your speed.

Review Luke’s resume prior to being hired at UConn. Cam would need a little bit of seasoning before he’s ready to be top Asst at UConn. He’s going to be in the NBA longer than you think!

It not only sounds crazy, but your take is bat crap crazy!

Cam is playing in the NBA at a pretty high level as a rotation player. Why would he give that up to be an assistant college coach? Really!!!

If Ollie was able to carve out a long NBA career playing a ton less productive than Cam is playing now, he will be earning a ton of NBA coin for quite some time.

Luke wants smart players to run his offense.

Kimani will be next UConn coach when Hurley leaves, assuming he doesn’t take a HC job elsewhere.

2-3 yr age difference between Dan and Kimani. Unless Dan hangs them up soon, Kimani isn't our coach in waiting, There's a program that will give Kimani the keys he deserves and has earned.

If not, he will be coach's Chris Dailey. ie: legacy, rings and CBB HOF.

Guess this was the kind of opportunity Luke was looking for. I'm sure he gave it a lot of thought and it was done with Dan's blessing. Will remember when Dan handed the keys to the offense over to him early in Luke's tenure at UConn. Our Program trajectory post AAC dramatically changed with his imprint on the offense and recruiting.

Has his work cut out for him at BC. But he's been around a coach who has repeatedly rebuilt programs as a head coach-Hurley. Boston is a city that likes its winners. Luke is a winner. Wish him well.

Would definitely root for Like to be successful in his first head coaching gig, but rooting for BC to be successful? That feels wrong.
Yeah, but for BC success would be finishing 10th in the ACC.

Never say never, he could be like AJ Griffin (who wanted to be a pastor instead of play in the NBA)

This is a difficult situation. Sans Luke, BC being in the basement is hilarious. I don't wish bad on him, obviously, but also couldn't care less about BC. It's too bad it had to be BC. Maybe the best is if he brings 25 wins by season 2 or 3 and bolts somewhere better leaving them back to square one with 2 to 3 years.

I think it will be a steep climb to pull BC out of the ACC basement as BC has been a step or two behind when it comes to accepting the new college athletics financial model. Not only has BC not spent on players, they need to invest more in assistant coaching salaries and support staff. That said, it wouldn't surprise me if Bobby Hurley joins Murray at BC as I think Murray would want an experienced head coach on his bench.

Not happening.

When I said Murray to BC was done deal someone said HA Ha as a reaction.
I don’t think the reaction was questioning whether you were right, I think it was more to do with at the time you made the comment, there was already public reporting that he had been offered it and tons of smoke that he would be the next coach.
