W t f are the mavs doing. Doncic is a top 5 player and 6 years younger than Davis.

If they’re going to trade Luka it shoulda been to a team with multiple young assets like the rockets. Gimme Jalen green amen Thomson and tari Eason. Mavs already had a good center rotation with gafford and lively too. This might be the dumbest trade in years

I haven't followed the NBA much this season, but that seems like not enough for Luka...?
 
So you trade him for an older player who has also had injury issues throughout his career? This makes no sense but I'm sure we're gonna get plenty of pods out of this from NBA writers doing deep dives

There has to be more moves on the way.

It makes sense for the Mavs short term and the Lakers long term. But more moves have to be made for the Mavs. It doesn’t make sense as is.

There’s so many star wings on the trade market if they can grab one though to pair with Kyrie and AD.

Luka just lost a good bit of money cause of this trade.

That’s how I heard about it too. Even Sean questioned the accuracy of the early reports of the trade. Makes no sense to me.

I've seen a lot of ridiculous trades and trades that don't make sense and several of them involve the Lakers. The Gasol trade was absurd.

I've never seen two superstars traded like this. One guy is Mister Glass aged 31, arguably top 10 in the league. They traded him for 25 year old top 3 in the league.

My buddy who doesn't fark around texted me Davis for Luka and I thought it was a joke. Seriously, what just happened?

One of the goofiest trades in sports history when you consider the stakes.
 
Do the Mavs still talk to that crackpot analytics guy, Bob Voulgaris, who used to work in their front office? He was a professional gambler at one point and got the job in 2018 because of his Twitter posts and then they fired him in 2021 due to conflicts of interest but I wonder if that separation was just cosmetic. He was behind a couple of other weird moves by the Mavs.
