Good 2nd quarter for UConn. Started to hit their open shots and their superior talent is showing. Geno able to play both Bent and Irwin for a few minutes.

Don't know how Geno keeps Crystal out of the starting lineup. May do so for next two games. If she continues to play like she is now, she'll start the DePaul game.

Really ugly 1st quarter, obviously got a lot better in the 2nd. I know it's easy to criticize the shot selection when all the 3's aren't going in, but honestly I thought most of the ones they missed were in rhythm and just weren't falling. They're falling now, and UConn's up to 8-for-16 from 3-point range at the half.

Congrats to Kyla for her first couple college points! I thought she looked pretty good when she was in there. Plays hard, runs the floor hard, clearly a smart player who knows where she's supposed to be defensively, etc.

Great to see Kia knock down a couple long shots (and dish out 5 assists in the first half). Gabby in early foul trouble again; that's going to have to stop. Lou's shot is coming around, and Crystal is doing Crystal things again.

Started off pretty rough but the ladies got it going in the 2nd quarter. The shots were not falling but now... pretty good.

This might happen more often than not with a young team especially one with a freshman getting major minutes. As the season goes on they will pace themselves better.
