I like Shook's game a lot. Long, mobile, skilled, and versatile.
Yeah. To beat Louisville you need to play with pace at the elbow with a lot of cutters. If they move to a 2/3 flood Shook's side of the zone, get her moving and you'll get the open shot. Otherwise they'll just sit back and their length will force you off the line into size.

These announcers on Flohoops continue their unbroken record of not telling us the score. Since it's flashed so infrequently on the screen viewers are left keeping score themselves.

Jones with 4 fouls early in the second.
Not too smart, Walz.
What's crazy is Louisville outscored Oregon 16-4 *after* she picked up her 4th.

Shook has developed nicely and I think playing with Sam Fuhring for 3 years helped her. Dana Evans has also waited for her time to shine and is doing very well this year. Oregon has adapted well this year in the 2nd half and they will need to continue that to win this game. So hopefully this gives everyone pause that ALL teams can struggle and that the UConn team is as good as any of the top teams!

Kelly tried to work the high post screen a few times against Louisville and I don't think that's the way to beat them. They'll just box and one Sabrina (or any guard) and/or she'll be doubled at the nail.

Huh? One player has 4 fouls in the first half?

Jones was called for 3 straight charges. They were all 50/50 calls and she lost all of them. Louisville's defensive scheme has been to take away Ionescu's drives down the lane by jumping all screens and it worked to perfection in the second period. She has 6 pts on 3-10 shooting.

Louisville is playing with energy. Oregon looked like they expected a walkover. I expect a great second half.

I'm off to the city. Y'all tell me how it works out.

I didn't think-a one was a 50-50 call. The defensive player either had position or beat her to the spot each time. I thought they were good calls.

I missed some of the 1st period but Louisville has been the aggressor on both offense and defense.

I've seen all of those get called the other way. To me they were all 50/50. On the 4th foul Ionescu leaped in front of her and hadn't even landed both feet when the contact occurred.

But those calls aren't the story, it's Louisville's defense. Outstanding!

Louisville freshman Konno is shutting down Ionescu, who can't get by her.

Oregon down 10 pts. Is it too soon for Ionescu to strap her cape on?

The sports ticker on FoxSportsSoutheast has the score reversed...with Oregon leading Louisville.

Disastrous ending for Louisville.

The Oregon coach who was at Oregon State looks like he belongs in some kind of computer field :D

or 7 I guess. my play by play says that UL turned it over at 0:00 then OU scored afterwards also at 0:00. hmm. whatever.

Ionescu looks like a woman on a mission. I'd be worried if I was UL.

Ionescu better find that cape. She’s going to need it.

it was 51-42 or 51-44 (kept changing) Louisville leading going into the 4th before my feed from their website went down.
